This release is an international compilation of 10 tracks produced exclusively by women from various horizons. This compilation was curated in support of women and the Iranian people in general. Proceeds will be redistributed to the "Collectif Femme Azadi" association, which provides material and media support for their struggle.

The journey begins with The Year of Blood by Gülce Özen Gürkan, a multi-layered dark and industrial soundscape, incorporating samples of the voice of Masih Alinejad that introduces the political nature of this release. Next, I Am an Iranian Woman by Nour Kara & Juliette Capel is a mixture between industrial, organic sounds, cello and voice, with a powerful atmosphere. The track Infinite Expansion by the duo Catenation is a dark ambient interlude before the banger Corpo in which Sara Brown lays her words on the edge-cutting production of Mad Monkey. Another duo, Flugen feat. Hura Mirshekari, proposes Mashaal, an introspection tack with deep vocals and rhythmics : The message of Mashaal is that the torch can never be turned off; wherever we are, we hold the roots of our lands and it is our duty to keep the fire burning. To wake you up from this dream comes Constructor, a breakbeat roller by Lyschen Finkorum, developing a great work on evolving patterns. Afterward, F9THF brings us Mina, on which she used her voice and complex polyrhythms in a delightful and glitchy combination. The next track, suyumuz özelleştiriliyor by pyruvicac.id, sounds like a long and gloomy ritual, with mutating vocal pads, tabla drums and acid synths. The penultimate track, Hundestern Klein produced by Marka Tamea, is a downtempo acid banger, containing crazy-sounding vocals by Rasputoin. Finally, The Chase, a mental techno roller by SDYK, closes this compilation.

ELSI is a young label, party series and platform for artists based in Berlin and with roots in London and Milan. ELSI mission is to reflect the multi-national and innovative nature of Berlin’s unique music scene, seeking to provide a platform for both emerging talents and established artists.

Their first VA release, ELSI Vol.1, is the product of two years spent developing a global family of like-minded individuals. The nine artists featured in this volume are forward-looking producers and deejays, each one with their own distinctive approach to music-making. Aiming to showcase the diverse sound of ELSI parties, the compilation explores everything from mind-expanding ambient to raw house music, wiggly psychedelic heaters to acid-tinged rave workouts. An eclectic snapshot of the state of contemporary electronic music, ELSI Vol. 1 announces the label as one of the scene’s most compelling voices. 

ELSI Vol. 1 is scheduled for release 1st March 2024.

Hitting hard on the A1 with Psychology which takes equal measure from early Detroit techno and fuses with the steadily popular Baby Rollén blueprint of contrasting pads and melodies. Voodoo combines influences of jungle with euphoric piano hooks, scattering throughout an extended arrangement.

Free Palestine: A Compilation for Humanitarian Aid

Here's to the liberation of Palestine. And here's to all the artists making their art. 
The situation we’re witnessing in Gaza is heartbreaking. While the world watches, over 30,000 innocent Palestinian people, many of whom were children, have been killed and over 70,000 more injured in attacks since October 7th. Homes, neighbourhoods and cities have been destroyed, and most of the population has been displaced and left without food, clean drinking water, electricity and fuel. 

The UK government has continued to allow Israel’s bombardment in the region and chosen not to back consistent calls for a ceasefire, despite the overwhelming majority of the UK public being in favour.

In an effort to raise money for Palestinian aid charities, I’ve reached out to lots of talented artists who have kindly contributed their music to this incredibly important cause. 

Sonically it traverses chugging electronics, proto electro, Italo dance, UK techno and leftfield bass from artists like JD Twitch, Ambien Baby, Lisene, GoodMostlyBad and Azo, all of whom are joining our call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

FREE PALESTINE.

All proceeds from the compilation will be split 50/50 between two charities who are working hard to provide support and humanitarian aid in Gaza: Medical Aid Palestine and War Child UK.

Hydrophonic - Lisene | Human Endeavour [2024]

Łukasz Seliga needs little introduction to anyone even roughly following Poland’s dance and electronic underground, as his contributions – as a live performer, producer, remixer or DJ –embellished the better part of its story. 

Between his solo endeavours under the slg moniker, and projects such as Casio pepe or Seltron 400, he has long traversed genres and sounds, aptly and joyfully, always staying true to his distinct musical vision rather than being prompted by periodic shifts of fancy.

On Sideways, his newest EP outing for Trance-Atlantyk, Łukasz appears under his own name – Seliga – for the first time, thus restating his identity and underlining the honesty of his craft.   

In a time when dance music tends to be driven increasingly by nostalgia, Seliga takes but a sip, ultimately eschewing it. As a result, the music we hear is more of a direct expression of his own abiding purpose – a lived, rather than re-lived experience, an auditory utopia, sung in a language the artist is deeply anchored in, but whose expressive qualities he seeks to enhance, and not simply exploit.
