Somnea believes we all experience certain relatable issues.
Though the ones discussed in his music is all too common, he
strides towards a more relatable and therapeutic approach.
Talking to the audience “as if”. His music is like a personal journal,
a window into his mind. He likes to leave a meaningful message,
or theme, with every track. Sometimes He will style an EP with an
overarching theme and each track will have its own underlying
theme. Stuff to keep you on your toes and make you think a little
harder. He knows these messages may not reach the average
listener, but believes they will reach the one's who need to hear
them most.
Since 9 years old he’s learned and played a variety of instruments which influences his music today.
From guitar, to drums, to piano, to flute. He used to be enamored with rock and metal bands, having
started listening to stuff like Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, and Linkin Park. Then as the hiphop
scene, and he evolved he gravitated towards the larger than life hip hop artistry of Icons like The
Weeknd, Travis Scott, and Post Malone. Those artists that kinda paved a way for a non traditional
hiphop sound. He tries to deliver unique and cool sounding music because that's what he likes to hear.
He doesn't believe it's where he’s from or what his accomplishments are that's important, but the
experience listener's will take away from truly hearing their first "Somnea" Track.
