About the song:
This song is all about that feeling you get right when you’re about to fall for someone; when you haven’t fallen just yet, but you’ve started feeling the butterflies in your stomach and know what’s coming. 

Sama wrote the lyrics about a skater girl and imagined the whole process of falling for her as something similar to falling flat on your face trying out a new trick on your skateboard. 

She concluded that the fall in itself isn’t the worst part by far; it’s the sinking feeling as you get back up on your feet, wipe the dirt off of your Dickies and look around to see how many people were watching. 

An upbeat summer bop about being awkwardly and nervously in love.

About the song:

The lyrics for Cock Blocked By Tights are written from within the mess of thoughts that were inside of Sama's head during an episode that in reality was never as deep or dramatic as she perceived it. 

Already in the first line she presents herself as an unreliable narrator, and goes on to describe the mental state that makes her unfit to objectively tell this story. 

The song explores emotions like anxiety, longing and more than anything the feeling of disappointment when reality doesn't quite live up to the expectations. 

The very first draft for this song has been collecting dust in a notebook since the summer of 2012.

About the song:

The lyrics for 1312 were written by a frustrated and angry Sama in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd. 

In the midst of shameless racism, viral hashtags that did more damage than good, as well as influencers who saw it all as an excellent opportunity for shameless self-promotion, you could make out the tiny sparks of genuine compassion, the power of action and community, and an unwavering perseverance that powered a renewed faith in humanity. 

Thus the song ended up becoming as much a battle cry as a mourning song, and despite the dark premise, it also conveys a sense of hope and determination. 

We wished to underline the stark contrast between these feelings, and therefore decided to give the pre-choruses a kinda ominous funeral song type of sound, while the choruses more closely resemble powerful chants yelled by an unflinching crowd in a protest.
