Jayl Funk has been one of the first artists that released their music on our label and throughout the past years has contributed with many remixes and various tracks for our Freestyle 4 Funk and Lime Sorbet compilations! So after almost a decade and a half Juergen Ludwig aka Jayl Funk returns with a funky hot two track single release under the title You Gotta Feel It. 

Both songs blend a funk-disco mood across the entire release with soulful female vocals and tight breakbeats. Warm, cool and groovy in the same time, the release will give you a spice of organic grooves with tasteful beats.

I've been going back to where it all started for me lately, making edits. This one just flowed today, a cut up The Honey Drippers - Impeach The President Instrumental plus a synced G-Unit acapella, added kick, snare, hi hat, tambourine, crashes and reverse crashes. Such a simple edit but works quite well. Also digging the bounce on this one.

I think in the last 10 weeks or so i've made an edit every week. Going to go over them in time and put them up as an album on Bandcamp at some point. Anyway this one is a FREE DOWNLOAD. Enjoy :)

A few weeks after his comeback on Timewarp Music with his release You Gotta Feel It, Jayl Funk is back with a new two track single titled Take It Easy. This new release continues the story of Jayl Funk’s journey through funk, soul and disco.

Take It Easy opens the release with warm funky beats and soul disco vibes. The song is constructed with a huge fusion baseline, vocal chops triggered by fat beats, disco strings with a groovy clav and a classic house piano mesmerising theme that brings the funk to the dancefloor with a nice feeling.

The Other Dj brings a four on the floor nu disco and nu funk groove with old school hiphop voice chops, clever brass hits and flute lines, that brings us back to the era of those missed funky old days. With a few words this track will give you a spice of an uplifting killer funk-disco with a hiphop mood.

A bit of a hallelujah moment when making this track.

I found an old funk track with an awesome amount of breakbeat samples in it, cut it up added a kick, snare, guitar, etc. Found an acapella in the right key which also had the same BPM as the track and literally threw it in the project and it fitted perfectly even with the changes in music. It's the whole acapella from start to finish. One of the most simplest edits i have made but works really well. Enjoy another FREE download. x :)
