I've been going back to where it all started for me lately, making edits. This one just flowed today, a cut up The Honey Drippers - Impeach The President Instrumental plus a synced G-Unit acapella, added kick, snare, hi hat, tambourine, crashes and reverse crashes. Such a simple edit but works quite well. Also digging the bounce on this one.

I think in the last 10 weeks or so i've made an edit every week. Going to go over them in time and put them up as an album on Bandcamp at some point. Anyway this one is a FREE DOWNLOAD. Enjoy :)

Pecoe - The Honey Thangs

I'm not gonna lie, all my music is sample based and of late i have been making quick and easy edits of old funk/funky breaks tracks from ages ago. This is another one i made this morning from an obscure funk track from Via Libre, i really digged the bongos in this one and the left and right channels in the wav file had different instruments so it was good to get a seperate multi track of the guitar, organ and bongos. On top of the edited track i chucked a Beastie Boys acapella and a Aceyalone acapella which not only fit in key with the track but also with the lyrics in the track (which was cool). So here is another FREE Track. Enjoy x :)

Maybe having a break from music making and venturing down other avenues with different hobbies was a good thing ? I've been spitting an edit out every Sunday for over 2 months now and have really found my mojo (so to speak). This is another edit i made this morning that has worked out quite well, it's not a banger but a lower tempo Hip Hop tune with a message that is kind of appropriate with all the BS going on in the world today. Pecoe - Where Is The Groovin

This is the 5th Sunday in a row i've pumped out a FREE tune (Edit). I've tried to keep the tracks as simple as possbile yet still sounding good and working as a tune. This one came together in about 2 hours and another 2 hours to mix it down, create a cover for Soundcloud and social media, etc. It uses the annoying and catchy acapella of Heavy Vee - I Don't Need a Hook and the 1975 Funk tune Shack Up by Banbarra, hence the title of my track - Hook Up. A bit of a hallelujah moment when making this track.

I found an old funk track with an awesome amount of breakbeat samples in it, cut it up added a kick, snare, guitar, etc. Found an acapella in the right key which also had the same BPM as the track and literally threw it in the project and it fitted perfectly even with the changes in music. It's the whole acapella from start to finish. One of the most simplest edits i have made but works really well. Enjoy another FREE download. x :)
