This is my Chinese version of an English Song of Praise, 「Wherever You Go, I Will Go」 composed by brother Howard Higashi.

On 2021. 4. 20., when I was reading the book of Ruth,
it came to my mind that I have never heard of 
a Chinese version of 「Wherever You Go, I Will Go」. 

An instant inspiration struck my mind that
the melody for the English song
would also match with the Chinese Bible verses,
so with the help of the Lord Jesus
I could match Chinese Bible verses of Ruth 1:16-17
to the melody of the English song of praise.

Hereby, I humbly present this Chinese version of
「Wherever You Go, I Will Go」 to our dear saints…

I found that, on 2021. 10. 7,
Taiwan Gospel Book Room released 
a Chinese version of 「Wherever you go, I will go」
as a lead sheet format in 職事文摘第六卷第三期. [Digital book]

“To praise is to transcend everything to touch the Lord" (Revelation 14:1-3; 15:2-4). 

Thank the Lord Jesus for His encouragement... 

I was down with my saddened heart and could not finish writing very important documents to apply for something.

In the morning on the day when the deadline was due, verses on 2 Peter 3:11-12 written on my Bible verse cards caught my eyes... And a melody arose in my heart...

Regardless of my saddened heart and my situation, Lord Jesus helped me to sing His words so that I could be revived, strengthened, and be freed from myself. After singing His words of grace, I could regain the power and freshness of my spirit to set my hands on the things that I had to do; and I could finish it before the deadline.

Thank the Lord Jesus for encouraging me so that I would experience the significance of praising the Lord!

When your heart is broken... the heart of our Lord Jesus also breaks apart and He sheds his tears with you... because our Lord Jesus Christ is the One who can fully understand our weaknesses... being full of mercy and love...

心怎樣向主開啟呢？每當我們要定規一件事，要有一個主張的時候，我們都該先轉向主說，『主阿，我愛你，我願意討你的喜悅。』 這樣，我們的心志就向主打開了。這一打開，主就進到我們的心志裏。每一次我們有所愛好，有所願望時，我們都當在那裏停一停，對主說，『主阿，我愛你，我要討你的喜悅。』  這樣，我們的心情向主就開啟了，主當然就進到我們的心情裏了。同樣的，每一次我們思想一件事時，先把我們的思想停一停，對主說，『主阿，我愛你，我要討你的喜悅。』  這就是我們在心思裏，向主開了一個口，主就能從這個口，進到我們心思裏。

How do we open our heart to the Lord? Whenever we have to make a determination or decision,  we should first say to the  Lord,  “O  Lord,  I  love You.  I  am  willing  to please  You.”  This  kind  of  prayer opens our will to  the  Lord, and once our  will is opened, the Lord will enter into it. In addition, whenever we love or desire something, we should stop for a  moment and say to the Lord, “O Lord, I love You.  I  want  to  please You.”  This opens our emotion  to  the Lord. When  we  do this, the Lord will surely enter into our emotion. Similarly, whenever we begin to think about something, we should stop our thinking for  a moment and say to  the  Lord, “O  Lord,  I  love  You.  I  want  to please You.”  This  kind  of  statement opens our mind to the Lord, and through this opening, the Lord will be able to enter into our mind.

This is a hymn inspired by Hebrews 4:14-16, Romans 8:26-30, and my experiences in life. 

This is an English version of 주 형상으로 빚어가시네, a song of praise composed and written by me. I sincerely express my gratitude to my dear brothers and sisters for encouraging me to sing this song of praise in English.

Thank you Lord Jesus for You are the One who can sympathize us in all of our weaknesses! Thank You Lord Jesus for You are praying and interceding for us always so that we may conform to Your glorious image!

Having therefore a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession.

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all respects like us, yet without sin.
