Here's a mix of some modern breakbeat stuff that I've been feeling. Been picking up some records in this style over the last few years and decided to slap them together into a longish but very enjoyable set. Only did this in one take so there are a couple wonky moments, but that's life, you know. The tunes are fucking great, though! I've tried to mix up the textures and vibes through the mix, and I think it works out pretty nicely.

Squat Rocking 5 (Classic UK Hard/Acid Trance)

One of my hands-down favorite electro labels is Berlin's mighty @mechatronicamusic, a label and party collective run by @mejle, @electrodon, @milanhermess and @daribone, so I've put together a mix of a track each from (almost!) the first twenty releases (I didn't include number 19 because it's not really my thing - sorry!), covering their powerful electro sound that draws from artists across Europe.

Mejle Interview

The Mechatronica Story (A journey through the Berlin electro label's catalogue)

Quite a year, huh? I guess there's not much point in rehashing what a crazy and turbulent year this was for pretty much everyone on the planet - you lived through it too, you know what it was like.

For me, musically, though, it was quite a year - I've done 17 mixes across all kinds of different styles and smashed through my goal of getting 60,000 listens this year on Soundcloud. Thank you to all of the listeners!

This last mix is a totally improvised, one take mixup of some recent high-speed electro faves. I got out a big stack of records, hit record, and accelerated from around 142 bpm to 155. 

It's a rump-shaking apocalypse!
