Got some new Summer of '94 mixes sat here, but the weather is dire, so I'll go with this one to pass the time until the sun emerges. To give it its full name: Hard Leaders 6 Presents Jungle Dub 2. (Hard Leaders or Hardleaders? The CD says the latter but I'm going with the former). Anyway, it's a firm favourite of mine from back in the day, nice blend of ragga jungle and jazzy rolling vibes with a few exclusives in there; an absolute pleasure to mix. Enjoy.

I just decided to have a little fun with this, and I literally pulled out a half shelf of jungle records and made the mix with what I found in there ... fortunately this era is so rich with amazing music that you're guaranteed to put together a sick mix with as little planning as that. Gene Simons, from Kiss, first album. Had a wicked pic of him on the cover. I bought it on sight, then when I heard the album, it had a song called, Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star 😂, I never purchased music again without listening to it first.

Dan Deeper Jungle 2

A fictional event that took place at the Astoria on Charing Cross Road in London back in the winter months of 1994. Nico, Trace, Ed Rush and the No U-Turn crew in a cloud of smoke on one side of the booth with Pascal, Sponge and the face crew on the other. A banged out Astoria with the lights down low waits as Nico wins the coin toss to step up first - One record each for 60 minutes. The crowd hushes as the needle hits the plate and the crackles on the run in send chills through the building.

That's how it happened in my head anyway :) Mixed on 1210s by myself in the bunker.
