LTJ Bukem 1993 Tribute Sessions | Part 1

When my friend Vali from @parallaxrecordings asked if I wanted to drop another Yaman Productions tribute mix for @peoples-station I was all over the idea! Last time around I did a tribute to the 1993 crop of mixes, pulling together tracks from that year's selection of mixtapes. This time around I've focused on the 1994 mix sets, taking four tracks from each of the five dj's that featured that year, and running through them sequentially, like this: Micky Finn -> Randall -> DJ Hype -> Peshay -> LTJ Bukem

A super fun selection, and one for all the true heads; this is a great crossover between hardcore and jungle, right as that whole transformation was happening. Enjoy!

Formation Records 1994 - 1995 History Mix

I went through many mixed emotions putting this 3 hour set together out of MASSIVE RESPECT for the recent fallen DJ Tango (Jamie Giltrap). He was my favorite Jungle producer of all time. With over 50 of his tunes & remixes, you'll see just how talented he was. From early Rave, Jungle Techno, Jungle from the golden era, awesome jazzy/intelligent jungle to his more current club style drum & bass with the huge remix of Internal Affairs - Stylin, probably my fav all time 92 tune (a close second to the Egyptian tune). Unfortunately, I missed Tango when he was playing in Sydney around 10 years ago now, I was living in Melbs. I did, however, get the privilege to DJ with DJ Ratty at Club 77 in the mid 90's. Ratty, my fav DJ of all time and Tango my fav producer. A legendary duo! My heart goes out to his family and close friends. This is my tribute and thanks to Tango for the huge impact he has made on me and my DJ career.
