The track is a cheeky edit of the iconic and classic break beat track "Feel Real Good" by Manix, released in 1991. The original is soooo good, the track starts with a beautiful stabby, rave piano sampled from house track "Don't Wanna Go" by Sterling Void and vocals sampled from a Dihan Brooks. 

I wanted to honour both the house origins of the piano sample as well as the break beat drums that drives the original song, and while doing so, I realised I could do something fun and different, and hence this DJ tool was born.

The song starts as a piano house track like the original sample and a reese bass to drive momentum but I couldn't help myself from adding a bit of a warping speedy-g section too. However wait for the break down which becomes breakbeat before speeding up to a 165bpm jungle/ amen break drop. 

Use it to transition quickly from house to jungle or just use it to blow the face off your audiences - i'm not gonna tell you what to do, im not your mum.

When my friend Vali from @parallaxrecordings asked if I wanted to drop another Yaman Productions tribute mix for @peoples-station I was all over the idea! Last time around I did a tribute to the 1993 crop of mixes, pulling together tracks from that year's selection of mixtapes. This time around I've focused on the 1994 mix sets, taking four tracks from each of the five dj's that featured that year, and running through them sequentially, like this: Micky Finn -> Randall -> DJ Hype -> Peshay -> LTJ Bukem

A super fun selection, and one for all the true heads; this is a great crossover between hardcore and jungle, right as that whole transformation was happening. Enjoy!

Spinnin since 2001  from as far as Scotland to Tenerife SteveO plays anything house from Tech to piano driven  90's old school reworks !! Blessed to have played for brands across the Midlands notably Fuel and plastic in Birmingham aswell a whole host of nights on the Wolverhampton scene. From 2005 SteveO was heavily involved in driving the house scene forward in his local town of Telford & taking his brands on the road to Cannock, Rugeley and local boat parties. 
Closer to home SteveO has been a guest or resident at Masquerade, Audio tek, Traffic to name but a few.
These days SteveO concentrates almost soley on his self taught music production in his  own home studio  and has released  tracks available on Beatport, Traxsource and Juno on some of the most iconic house labels including Cleveland city, Whore house aswell as Onto the groove records and world sound with regular radio plays all over the country.

Ryck from Berne, Switzerland plays different styles of D&B Jungle since '97, co-hosted the monthly D&B radioshow "RaBass 95.6 FM" from 2005 to 2018, co-launched the monthly https://soundcloud.com/bern-bass-podcast -series of episodes in 2014 and co-promoted the Liquid Session D&B-Eventseries at Dachstock Reitschule Berne until its demise in 2024. After co-releasing tracks with Konfront.Audio and FD on Soul Deep and Sunandbass Recordings, he launched the now dormant label https://bernbassrecords.bandcamp.com in 2020 that so far had three Bandcamp-only releases featuring Swiss artists exclusively. 
After many years playing at major events all over Switzerland, today Ryck is a regular DJ at DARKSIDE at Dachstock Berne, HOTBOX Zürich, REFLECTION Winterthur and VIVID Basel.

Bio

Benjamin Hayes started DJing in 1997, producing in early 2003 and has had the opportunity to play at major dance parties across Australia and internationally in USA, New Zealand and the UK.

Haze is the owner and label manager of Executive Records, Executive Digital, Recycled Records and Recycled Digital. He uses these outlets to push his productions, and the productions of other Australian artists around the world.

Haze’s early beginnings started with Breakbeat, Jungle and Drum & Bass. His musical influences come from producers from the infamous Moving Shadow, Reinforced and Kniteforce labels to name a few. 

Production wise Haze now focuses on the sounds of yesteryear with tracks ranging from 130bpm to 170bpm in either early Hardcore, Breakbeat, Jungle or Drum & Bass.

Renowned for his scratching abilities and tight mixing his 28-year DJ career has given him the experience to deliver a mind blowing set each time.

Be prepared for an energetic hardcore set that Haze is renowned for with plenty of new tracks fresh from the studio!

Executive Records was formed in 2004 by Sydney’s Ben Hayes as an outlet for both his own productions and those emerging from a number of talented young Australian artists such as Haze, Weaver, Dover, JTS, S3RL, Antix, Suae, Tom-E, Destiny, Reazn &amp; Implex.
