Really beautiful piano with nice accompaniment and such a smooth gentle vibe.

A little song called Glow I wrote around 2018 timeframe. It's one of those that came together over time, especially the chorus, it was one of those back burner unfinished songs, but certainly never forgotten. I've always enjoyed playing this melody.  I made a few minor changes not long ago, with the arrangement and a few lyrics, and it really feels complete...finally. Ever meet someone where they put something in you that you feel like you can do anything?  I hope you enjoy this live take I did the other night on my old Baldwin. This is music I wrote more than ten years ago that I decided to remix as best I could. I was just learning how to lay down more than just a piano track and had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I always had engineers that did that for me before there were online sites like Soundcloud and others.  I have 2" recording studios tapes from 40+ years ago that has original music that I want to get remixed and there is no one near where I live. If anyone can help me out, let me know. I live in PA.

Proud to announce my first collaboration with folk string artist extraordinaire Don Jennings.  Don establishes the feel of the song with his strong rhythm strumming--almost the feel of a Celtic stomp, trying to get the mud off one's boots, but allows me plenty of space for my Requinto guitar that sounds a little like a mandolin in the center-left channel. So nice that my longtime collaborator friend @dough-factory has returned to SoundCloud after a break of a couple years! This is our first track working together since then and it came together in a really cool way. I was inspired by Ryan's electronic drums and bass to lay down some rhythm guitar as well as a few synth leads. Then he came up with some awesome lyrics/vocals that I think captures the vibe of this piece quite well.

Keep an eye out for more from us, we are thinking of pulling together a whole album or EP over the coming months.

Traces - A Christian McIntosh

My music pieces are all piano improvisations expressing emotions. It is music telling stories without the words. In my earIy years I sang and played piano in piano bars or fronted bands of different styles, from country to heavy metal and to 40. I've been composing, teaching and performing most of my life.  I'm getting old(er) now 😔 but the great thing about creating music is it gets better the longer you play, and you have more to write about! 

This is what I leave of me to my generations to come who wonder where their desire to make music comes from. My mother, grandmother and great grandmother were both accomplished pianists when they were young. My son is also exceptional.  My great grandmother and gr grandfather sang and danced in minstrel shows (vaudeville) in the early 1900's. Kids today have no idea what life was like before moving pictures.  I now have great-grandchildren. They will know who I am through my music. When I am gone my music will still be here. What a wonderful thought!
