sweet, like a dessert

A gentle  improvisation. It is the most honest way for me to express myself and the way I feel. My music is like my diary. Everything is played for a reason. I have realized that every day is a good day, I have learned. Don't let even one day slip through your fingers unnoticed. Make each day count toward your growth as a human being - who you have become over time while ever-changing. I have been writing music for more than 50 years while as a piano teacher and musician. I have created a lot of history. But time isn't infinite. No one knows how many days they will have, so make each day count.

Every Day is Beautiful

I wanted to create for this piece a romantic atmosphere, where the interpretation translates varied emotions and sound contrasts. The musical notes are above all vibrations that resonate within us. The very first measurements of the concerto No. 2 by Rachmaninov inspired me for the beginning of "Résonance", this composer remains for me one of the greatest masters of musical expression. J'ai voulu créer pour ce morceau une ambiance romantique, où l'interprétation traduit des émotions variées et des contrastes sonores. Les notes de musique sont avant tout des vibrations qui résonnent en nous. Les toutes premières mesures du concerto no. 2 de Rachmaninov m'ont inspiré pour le début de "Résonances", ce compositeur reste pour moi l'un des plus grands maîtres de l'expression musicale. What happens if "Dust In the Wind" meets "Classical Gas"?  I sought to answer that profound question one morning when I was riffing on an A-minor chord and couldn't think of another way to describe this acoustic concoction. I couldn't think of a better name for it either, but seemed to have a "ballad" feel to it, either about a hero or villain, I'll let you decide, and maybe catch a "catnap" thinking about it:)

The Signal is written as a prequel to Wojciech Golczewski's acclaimed Reality Check album. It is a stripped down electronic compositions reminiscing both of analog synthesizes and primal digital soundwaves that brings us to a more undraped and intimate take on the authors previous space exploration themes. My music pieces are all piano improvisations expressing emotions. It is music telling stories without the words. In my earIy years I sang and played piano in piano bars or fronted bands of different styles, from country to heavy metal and to 40. I've been composing, teaching and performing most of my life.  I'm getting old(er) now 😔 but the great thing about creating music is it gets better the longer you play, and you have more to write about! 

This is what I leave of me to my generations to come who wonder where their desire to make music comes from. My mother, grandmother and great grandmother were both accomplished pianists when they were young. My son is also exceptional.  My great grandmother and gr grandfather sang and danced in minstrel shows (vaudeville) in the early 1900's. Kids today have no idea what life was like before moving pictures.  I now have great-grandchildren. They will know who I am through my music. When I am gone my music will still be here. What a wonderful thought!
