Black Mirror Park has played DJ-sets at clubs and events like ://about.blank, Institut für Zukunft, Anomalie and many more. He's released tracks and EPs on KONFLKT, Entourage Concept, trau-ma and Front Left Records amongst others. His next release will be an EP called „The Great Filter“, out on Dessert Berlin's (a party series at ://about blank and a label) new sublabel „Is Serving“. It will be out on 21.04 with two original tracks and remixes by Jon Hester and Red Rooms, so make sure to check it out!

Train Wrecks #062 - Philippa Pacho & Blue Hour

Experimental Podcast and event series Zenaari continues to break new ground with this next instalment from Nikolaj Jakobsen (Sugar) and Emil Aastrup’s new alias Flutek. This one’s highly conceptual from start to finish: a collection of in situ recordings from the recent past including test setups from aleatory sessions, tracks that got lost in the never-ending process of tinkering and other bristling frequencies from the misc folder. In sending each other patches for the past few years, they’ve also tweaked them, sent them back and forth, and expanded and reinterpreted them into entirely new sounds. Along the way, they’ve learned from each other and their hardware too, investigating the fringes of these experiments and harvesting what they could in return. Zenaari Mix 011 is the result of this ongoing alliance: shimmering atmospherics, a spray of irregular notes and warped drones that resonate and pioneer a strange new language between man and machine. A left to right hemisphere idiom and bold new direction for this budding collaborative project.

'One' is the debut album from burgeoning Portuguese techno producer Afonso Esperança aka Backbone @backbone-3

After his 'Gatekeeper' EP (COUNTER033), including the iconic 'Take A Trip' which gathered support far and wide, Backbone stretches out over nine wonderfully detailed and intense tracks.

Exploring the modern techno paradigm, 'One' is full of positively charged, bassline-driven heaters. The founder of the Vinculum Festival in Portugal, Esperança's unique sound design, vocal FX and tension-heavy arrangements carve a clear course from the heart to the dancefloor. From the tingling ambient intro of 'Mundo Novo' straight into the addictive 'Press To Regenerate' its clear there's countless details to discover forged into these tracks.

Counterchange founder Inland straps in on 'Generation Gap', one of the early highlights of the album, with its surging industrial pulse and funky forward momentum.

The stunning broken beats and bleeps of 'There Is No Spoon' hit hard and dark while remaining elegant and certainly not over-driven. Every track on the LP is a microcosm of Backbone's kinetic techno manifesto - he infuses a rich stereo image, textured crunch and silky bass-end bounce on stand-out tracks like 'Strike A Dose', 'Minucioso' and 'No Casket Space'.

Bringing the album to a close with the night-time drive of 'Ride The Snake', Backbone summons the spirits of his mountainous home region in a hypnotising, shamanic ritual for the closing sets.

@me_dha is a Leipzig based Dj and promoter as a member of the PVC collective. Since the end of 2021 she is the co-host of the well-known event series aequalis at Ifz. She was involved in music from an early age, playing various instruments and singing on stage. Her inspiration for music is influenced by the Berlin and Leipzig culture and club scene and so she has developed her own way of expressing her passion. Her sound is characterised by concise basslines and rougher elements on the one hand, but also by deep and driving rhythms and repetitive sounds. Over the last years she has played in clubs such as Tresor Berlin, Ifz Leipzig, Sirococlub Madrid or at Subradio in Barcelona.
