Each episode features various artists curated for their embodiment of the ideals of the Kashay Salon, embracing as we do different cultures and peoples from around the globe.

We focus on the diverse and multicultural sounds of organic house, downtempo & slow rave, deep tech, and groovy world rides. Come join us as we set out on melodious musical expeditions. And this episode is presented by @alexdoering

Little did Alex know when he started compiling music for his friends in his teenage years, that only a few years later, while beginning to explore vinyl and digital ways of mixing, his real journey in music began. He spent many years in Asia, practicing and teaching KungFu, believing that knowing yourself is the ultimate tool. About two decades later, Alex is still on this path, constantly shaping his signature sound. Various labels like Kosa, Suprematic, Shango Records and Zolotaya Orda have released his music. From deep, active sound to funky grooves; there are no genre limitations for him. It’s about simplicity, the smiles, the atmosphere, the moments everybody shares. His aspiration is to connect people — with one another, with the music and with themselves.

𝗜 𝗔𝗠 𝗕𝗢𝗛𝗢 by Larsiø

On this glorious morning in July, Hekske - the little witch - woke up at the first sunlight.  Falke – the 10-year old witch apprentice – was already awake and preparing their morning tea with the help of a family of squirrels.  The girls sensed that it would be a very hot day, so they decided to make use of the cool morning temperatures to make their daily inspection round of the forest.  After completing the inspection, Hekske suddenly felt the urge  to fly.  This was quite unusual as witches generally only fly on full moon days to participate in their monthly coven.  Even more strangely, Falke also felt the urge to fly, while she’s still too young to participate in witch covens.  
Anyway, the girls surrendered to their deeper instincts and took off from the central clearing.  They knew they would reach their destination simply by following their inner compass.  The witches flew in southeastern direction under a sky-blue sky.  It soon became clear that this part of Europe was also in the grip of a heat wave.  They flew over ever higher hills and even saw the snow-capped mountain peaks of the Styrian Alps.  Then the girls sensed they had reached their destination and gently touched down on a green meadow full of purple flowers, where they were warmly welcomed by a group of witches.  It quickly became clear that the other witches came from all over Europe and the Middle East.  After the arrival of the last witch, the women went to a little river.  It was so hot that all witches spontaneously slipped out of their white dresses and waded into the crystal-clear water, which was really cold as this river came straight from a glacier.
Then the witches let themselves go with flow and lazily drifted downstream until they reached a field of sunflowers.  They got out of the water and searched their way through the sunflower labyrinth, until they found a big round granite altar in the middle of the field.  Lots of mysterious symbols were carved in the altar, which was obviously dedicated to the sun.  And talking about the sun… the heat was almost unbearable and – as they always live in the shadow of the trees – both Hekske and Falke were not used to such strong sunlight. They were quite worried that their delicate skin would soon get seriously burned.  Luckily, there was a witch who held a small flacon with a mysterious liquid.  She gently rubbed it on the pale white skin of Hekske and Falke. It was home-made sunscreen which she had made according to an age-old recipe of natural ingredients.
A little later, all witches aligned in a circle around the stone altar, holding hands.  Hekske felt an intensely warm energy flowing through her hands and arms, passing through her heart chakra.  The energy got stronger and stronger, and suddenly a yellow orb appeared above the altar. Its light gradually became so intense she couldn’t keep her eyes open.  She felt the insanely powerful rays, and her hair was blown backwards from the wind which seemed to originate from the shining orb.  Meanwhile the temperature kept on rising until it became almost unbearable.  And strangely, the little witch had the feeling that there was a small shining orb inside her solar plexus.
And just before the temperature became really unbearable, she felt a cool wind blowing through her long brown hair, while the shining orb faded away.  The witches could open their eyes again and started to giggle.  Soon the whole group was giggling and no one could tell why.  Then all witches remembered the little river and they all ran through the sunflowers to take a dive in the crystal-clear water.  The little witch enjoyed the soothing feeling of the ice-cold water on her skin.  Her whole body slowly cooled down, except her solar plexus which continued to emit a pleasant warm glow.  Never before had she felt so energized…

My sound, in which I try to combine the "technoid" style with a great love for downtempo , always try to provide a backdrop that captivates every guest and encourages them to show off there best moves on the dance floor!

Halia is a French music producer and Dj based in London. She made her debut this year on Earthly Delights and Cafe de Anatolia labels with tracks cruising the top of Beatport Organic House charts. 

She started her journey with music at an early age through a classical education while her influences evolved following the places she explored.Travelling and living across Europe, China, the US, the Middle East and Brazil, she was fascinated by the cultures and colourful sounds she discovered during her journey. 

Through melodic soundscapes, traditional live instruments, groovy organic percussions and ethereal vocals, she invites her listeners to close their eyes and travel to distant lands.
