This past year for me has been such a positive one. I've enjoyed working hard to bring you my special sound and music. 

I am forever grateful, for the support I receive, as this inspires me to keep creating and sharing. 

In my thanks, I've put together a special mix for you all. It features all my finest originals and remixes from 2013.

Away We Go

An immersive journey through deep, melodic soundscapes — this 6-minute instrumental blends the hypnotic pulse of deep house with the emotional depth of melodic techno. Built around a warm analog bassline and a steady four-on-the-floor rhythm, the track evolves organically with shimmering pads, airy percussion, and evolving arpeggios that flow like waves at sunset. Layers of texture rise and fade, revealing moments of calm introspection and slow, cinematic tension. Every element breathes with space and warmth, from the subtle crackle of ambience to the smooth transitions that carry the listener forward. It’s both meditative and kinetic perfect for late-night drives, sunset sets, or deep headphone sessions. This piece tells an emotional story without words — pure movement, light, and atmosphere in sound.

Endless Mirage

Coupled with Ben Mautner's striking, golden artwork, Navid Mehr hit the Proton Music headlines in June 2016 with the epic "Solomon's Throne" EP. As we now return to visit the tech house title track, a Belarusian debutant and a Portuguese rising star turn in two majestic remixes.

On the south-western tip of Belarus, Dmitry Molosh, has seen his stock rise significantly beyond the borders of his Brest hometown. An accomplished producer and DJ, gigs across Europe have cemented a strong reputation behind the decks as performances at "Mayday" festival in his homeland in 2012 have been consolidated with further gigs in London and Amsterdam Dance Event in autumn 2016. Molosh's monthly "Sound Wisdom" show on Proton Radio is another vehicle that demonstrates his astute track choices and mixing skills.

A producer of world renown, a plethora of original and remix production material has hit the virtual shelves since a debut for You're So Fat Records, in the shape of "Ambo", made its mark in 2011. Since then, Dima's music has found its way on to such celebrated imprints as Balkan Connection, Plattenbank and Replug. Furthermore, a remix of Black 8's "Before the Rising Dawn" saw his name firmly in the spotlight on the Nick Warren led Hope Recordings, in June 2016. Supported by Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and Khen, amongst others, a pair of remixes for sister label Particles are now supplemented by a debut offering for Proton Music as Dmitry Molosh now takes on "Solomon's Throne". Retaining the essence of the original, a crisp rhythmic framework provides a strong foundation for a series of counterpoint melodies to criss-cross in shimmering fashion as a pounding beat and anchored bass line supply dance floor credentials. Redolent in delayed effects and pulsating white noise washes, Navid Mehr's work is given an innovative new direction.

Pedro Caldeira is a name that regularly features on the playlists of such distinguished names as Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold and Gareth Emery, after hitting the production trail in 2010 at the tender age of 17 with his Pete K soubriquet. Adjusting his developing sound to incorporate a more underground deep and tech house style, the Portuguese artist's cited influences include Ian O'Donovan, Sasha and Guy J.

Thus, over a century of production credits can now be found next to the Pete K name as iconic imprints that include Intricate, Armada and Perfecto, showcase his work. Furthermore, an appearance on Ministry of Sound's legendary "Trance Nation" series "Mixed by Simon Patterson" was another career highlight in April 2015. Making his debut for Proton Music in June 2016 via the "Inner Circle" EP, the twin-track offering bore a direct connection to Caldeira's monthly "Inner Circles" Proton radio show. No returning to the label to remix Navid Mehr, the Pete K remix of "Solomon's Throne" is a typically strong offering that delights with its clever use of original components combined with trademark melodic flow. A wealth of additional production material creates an emotive work that evolves elegantly through its breakdown and beyond through the third movement, to create an exciting and effervescent work.

A pair of regal remixes from Dmitry Molosh and Pete K have kept Navid Mehr on top of "Solomon's Throne".

Romanian DJ and producer Cryss debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the superb Simple Pleasure which comes backed up with two top notch remixes from Bob The Groove and Mendexx. Cryss comes from a musical family and this exposure has nourished his passion for music. He learned guitar and keyboards before finding his way into DJing and then producing. With several releases on various labels we're delighted to have him on board at Bonzai Progressive.

The Original Mix intros with a nice pounding kick drum along with cool shuffling hi hats and various percussions. A distant melodic arp begins to rise and is soon joined by a warm, probing bassline. The bassline morphs and transforms with a little help from some filtering as subtle guitar riffs and sweeping pads join in. A super tight slice from start to finish that will sit perfectly in any set bringing a smooth deep vibe.

Bob The Groove returns to Bonzai Progressive on the remix and once again he shows us his superb talents in the studio. The intro boasts a deep droning bass that takes hold, drawing you in alongside nice chunky kicks and crispy hi hats. Mesmeric pads fill the background and continue for the duration becoming prominent on the break as they blend effortlessly with hypnotic vocals. The result is cosmic bliss that will definitely be a welcome addition in any late night set.

Scottish DJ and producer Mendexx delivers a superb deep progressive remix that will not disappoint. Mendexx returns to Bonzai Progressive after his last outing Mutate performed very well indeed. Here he takes us on a sublime prog journey that sets out with superb punchy kick drums and crispy hi hats. A stabbing, probing bassline soon comes through and we're hooked. The bassline is joined by cool synth stabs and subtle vocals that add an air of mystery to the track. Rich strings sweep through and on the break we find intriguing melodies that linger for the duration. Top notch stuff not to be missed.

Stellar Fountain Records celebrating the 6th anniversary in 2017. With over 300 release behind their back the Stellar-guys built a decent sound, which is continously looking for fresh inspirations and new, exciting faces, while stay true to the underground progressive roots. The result can be checked on numerous beatport chartings, 160 of the label's releases were featured on beatport proghouse releases top 100, regular appereances on must have progressive house top 10 selections. The label's priority to support their local artists and give them the chance to spin live on parties as dj's.

Based in Berlin but originally from Italy, Soul Button has undoubtedly made a distinctive mark on the Melodic Techno scene, starting his personal project in 2012 along with the launch of his label and brand, Steyoyoke Recordings. As the inventor and trademark owner of the Ethereal Techno subgenre, his artist name, Soul Button, reflects a strong conceptual identity.

Soul Button transformed his label into a real brand, first establishing the two sub-labels Steyoyoke Black and Inner Symphony, and later developing his own clothing brand, SYYK Berlin, as well as his own publishing company, SYYK Publishing. Well known in the electronic music scene as one of the most skilled DJs and producers, for his mental and soulful sets and tracks, Soul Button has affirmed his international exposure.

His career took off with many successful singles like "Swift Minds" and "Wraith", the latter featuring acclaimed American vocalist Terry Grant. Tracks like "Reverie" and "Metamorphosis" were a great anticipation of his first album, released in December 2019, "Phantom Existence", a 13-original track album that marked a significant moment in his career, followed by a remix edition in April 2020.

Recent years have seen continued success with the release of the "Pantheon" EP alongside Monarke, and singles such as "God Save The Rave", "Crescendo", "Merine", "Infinitude", and "Dalliance", capturing the attention of techno enthusiasts worldwide. His latest work includes "Walking Straight Up", a single that highlights his ascent in 2023, together with the collection, "Dual Realms of Sound", which was a testament to Soul Button's evolving sound and his ability to capture the duality of rhythm and melody, further solidifying his place in the techno realm. 2024 sees his second official album "Master Minds", which will be launched in April 2024, with preceding singles "Lumina" and "Tartribe".

Having cemented himself firmly in the scene, Soul Button maintains focus on the continuous growth and development of his labels as well as his own personal career. The upcoming years will surely be busy with new tours and projects on the horizon.
