After three fat releases in the space of six months (Parquet, Einmusik, Systematik), he is now back with a whole EP on Einmusika ! One thing is certain, this EP is going to be fire ! Thanks to all of them for entrusting us in Goliath's premiere... You obviously know our love for Sebastien Léger, therefore we take the opportunity to tell you that he will be our guest on 22nd October for the beginning of the season and the recovery of our Sweet Parties ! Some bleeps and 80’s synths building the start for “Goliath“. Within seconds we have summer melodies and an uplifting groove - welcome Sébastien Léger with his first complete EP on Einmusika. An anthem without a doubt with a lot of passion created. Our boss Einmusik prepared a remix of that epic song with his typical signature. Starting with a deceptively relaxed pace, this version will catch your breath. Mister Léger bringing “Serpentine“ for the B-Side, more heavy and loaded with a great bass. A perfect mixture to finish the summer season.

Premiere: Allies For Everyone - The Slow (Franz Alice Stern Remix) [Constant Circles]

Spanish label Sincopat calls on Avantroots and Seven Villas founder Pablo Boliver to remix on the latest release on the imprint, reworking a track from the recent Piek LP. Barcelona-based producer Boliver puts his magic touch to 'That's Me', which features the vocal tones of Jim Hast.

Speaking with When We Dip, Pablo explained "Nacho (Piek) sent me his upcoming album around a year ago, I was really impressed, listening it on heavy rotation: the production, the voices...impeccable. Some months ago he asked me to do a remix of one of the tracks, "no doubt bro, it's a pleasure". I love to remix tracks that have an important vocal work, and Jim Hast does so on "THAT’S ME’, I enjoyed every second working on this remix!"

BONDI & SAAND - Mission Control (Uone Remix)

Life and Death welcome Italian artist Whitesquare for a fantastic debut on the label that includes a remix from boss DJ Tennis. 

Whitesquare hails from Rome and runs his own Lyase Recordings while also releasing on Freerange and VOD. Those are perfect foils for his always characterful, cosmically infused house, techno and disco grooves which come with plenty of synth colour and timeless qualities. Always folding his own influences in with classic tropes, his genre-spanning productions and DJ sets have made him a key underground figure since first emerging in 2012. 

‘Visual Distortion of Reality’ kicks things off with a brilliantly rugged bassline underlining loose hits and drum fills. A robotic acid line takes the track far into the future and primes it for real dance floor destruction. The excellent ‘Not Moving’ is a spaced out electro styled cut with lithe drums and sleek synths journeying into the cosmos. Another killer bassline brings things to life in real style as you’re taken ever higher. Lastly, ’Jasmine’ is another trip to the stars, with a squelchy bassline and crisp snares impossible to ignore as they ride on perfectly programmed drums. This one gets a subtle Re-Match from DJ Tennis who layers in a little more synth drama and darkness as a result. 

This is a stylish, cinematic EP that voyages to the outer edges of our galaxy in thrilling fashion.

Diynamic Musics Picture: series is a document in time, showcasing an artists current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualise and understand the artist at a certain moment. A notable character from that sub-culture of game changers is Marc Martinez Nadal, aka AFFKT, who consecrated a music career and has been a driving force behind a vivid & empowering sound that is refined by his drive for perfection. Having worked on coining the sound of this alias since 2008, it has been a plethora of sound, place, person & culture that has provided a platform for AFFKT to experiment with his output. AFFKT - Hoydelight

The first notes of “Feys”, R.EK’s latest work and first single release in 2020, leave a volatile impression. The sound’s grace evokes the moment when you see a stranger’s face for the first time, when you inspect its details; cheek dimples, wrinkles on the forehead, a mysterious shade around the eyes.
With every passing second one discovers new details, striking passages taking turns with vulnerable sounds, and with every additional piece of the puzzle you’ll get closer to the core of this work. “Feys” heralds a new era for R.EK and introduces a new chapter for his label KnotenMusic—by uniting melodic techno with cinematic dramatics. In collaboration with Hannes Bieger, whose mixing adds a warm touch to the sound, R.EK is again pushing boundaries, and explores new grounds, where subtle, harmonious synthies and an enormous love for detail are paired to enable a new, distinct sound.

About KNOTEN
Under the umbrella of KNOTEN, R.EK is currently developing a new live performance concept that attempts to reinvent the communication between the artist and the audience by adding innovative visuals to the show. The new track will be released under KnotenMusic, which was launched as part of the KNOTEN project.
