Got Me Shouting

Soulhole are an energetic rock band from Poole in Dorset, UK. Formed in 2012, the group consists of Rob Frances (drums), Christy (bass), Matt Digby (keys), Hoggsy (rhythm and lead guitar) and the frontman Jordan Digby (rhythm and lead guitar). Their sound fuses influences from an eclectic array of genres of popular music.
Throughout the group’s musical pursuits, they have built and maintained a sound based on melodic instrumentals, highlighted by Matt’s keyboard work and Jordan’s impassioned vocals. Their lyrics, often embellished with a satirical take on modern living, focus on personal themes and socio-political concerns.

Soulhole formed for a friend’s wedding early in 2012; from there they rehearsed regularly working up their own material. Initially gigging with playing cover versions, their sets gradually came to include their own take on a provocative meshing of funk and blues. Jordan’s ability to interact with his audience ensures the crowd feels engaged and free to enjoy Soulhole’s performances.

In July, their dynamic and spirited live performances saw them being asked to support 90’s rock stars ‘Reef’ (now performing as ‘Stringer Bessant’). The evening was well received with Soulhole being asked to conclude the evening’s entertainment with an impromptu second set.

July 2013 saw the band go into the recording studio for the first time to cut a three track EP simply called ‘#1.’ The live recording has been used to promote the band and secure further gigs in the lead up to Christmas, and to see the band on the festival circuit in 2014.
