Goodgroove Records and it's artists really began the era of Ghetto Funk and Slim Goodgroove himself started the Ghetto Funk brand along with another partner Will Lardner who back in the day also had a Nu Skool Breaks label called Streetwise Records. This mix from the now famous Featurecast is a showcase of some of the Goodgroove Records releases from back in the day, expertly mixed and still holds up today stylewise in the Funky Breaks scene. Juwee (Funkanomics) - Chillax Mix 3rd

Since Shindig weekender is a summer festival and to me these are all about sunshine and laughter, I took that into account. Couple of Latin flavoured Resense 7 inches became an outline for this 102 bpm mix, then it was completed with some feelgood Funky / Latin breaks tunes.

The mix was created using vinyl on 2 x Technics turntable and a Ecler Nuo5 mixer. Plus Audacity for little bit of post production.

Summer Sessions Vol. 4

For this mix I wanted to give everyone a little look into music from all genres that has been a major part of my life since the day I played my first record. Making DJ mixes is something I don’t take lightly, this mix once again took the best part of 3/4 months to put together and I loved every minute. Taking influences from Disco, Hip Hop, Funk, Breaks, Acid Jazz & House I wanted to showcase a taste of the incredible tunes that have made me love the Funky side of Things !!!
