“Eye”, the second half of Psymbionic’s “Parallels” album, reveals the velvety side of this versatile producer’s toolbox. Fluid and tender, these five songs vary in style yet manage to retain a common thread; each track fits into the downtempo realm in opposition to Part 1’s bass heavy, driving nature. While keeping the listener attentive, Psymbionic tactfully merges passionate melody and intricate rhythms into his cultivated sound, showing off a spectrum of creativity. The talented vocalist Cristina Soto takes the wheel with the “One Thing”, delivering powerful edge to the warm original production. Next comes Sonder, a wonky, beat driven affair crafted in the mountains of Colorado with The Digital Connection. ill-esha closes things out with a bouncy street-bass rendition of Silkscreen made to animate crowds of all flavors.

Ambient and atmospheric synths kick things off smoothly, then quickly cruise towards banks of crisp percussion.
