Their signature sound influenced by disco, 80’s poly synth and smooth house resonates throughout their original music which is upbeat, atmospheric with a some great pads and iconic fills. It’s fun with summertime vibes always shining thru that will help you get up and get a move on.  Their debut EP comprises of 2 forward thinking 80’s inspired disco tracks.

The opening track ‘Hillside Stranger’ is a moody & groovy synth driven tune with a cheeky vibe that leaves a long lasting impression. The second cut ‘Memories’ is a perfect example of how Evanton are able to revitalise dated sounds and give them new shine, adding a stunning Jupiter 8 synth line combined with a long ethereal pad, which rounds off the release perfectly and feels like the monumental end to a great night out.

In the Netherlands some neophile named I-f was fed up with the same old techno 'movement'. This in mind he added some fairly unorthodox dimensions to this gathering, forever changing its course. With primitive electronic equipment I-f transferred sounds from the 80s to the here and now. And by chance, he landed a hit. "Space Invaders are Smoking Grass" is I-f´s entry to Electro-anthem status. Like Funk never happened. 

This is family fodder for dance crazes, for lovers of 'alternative' music, for the whole scattered techno community, as well as for the homelistener who likes to smoke a cigar when hearing 'strange' sounds on the sofa. I-f´s versatile approach to music can't be measured with just this one track. His first full length album on Disko B records proves the point. Fucking Consumer is pretty strong stuff. Electro-nix pure and clear. No nice recycled retro package. It's out of it, sails in its own universe, because it doesn't rely on others.

The overall mood is well-tempered, it seems to be playing along some sound history. Next thing you know, Fucking Consumer is exploding into bursts of noise - what a pleasure. Track by track I-f demands the attention of the listener anew. The final countdown occurs in a little gothic interlude with G.D. from L.A.'s Christian Death delivering the vocals. This Record was the start of a series of records by I-f (I-F – The Man From P.A.C.K, 1999, The Parallax Corporation – Cocadisco in 2003). There were massive records following this pioneer advance and a first clash on electro was done long before Larry T was dreaming of creating electro-clash.

On the flip (not literally but let’s say like that) is Errortica chilled version, Errortica is uprising talent from Saint P, TEST FM born & raised, Dekmantel festival 2021 participant and her first vinyl 12" record "Safely Stowed" EP is out in ocotober via Parisians finest Les Yeux Orange !
