Do you remember when John asked?  Can you believe fifty years have passed?
It seems like only yesterday to me.
I was only fifteen years, what he said brought  me to tears.  
Imagine the whole world living in peace. And all the ones in bondage find release.

Do you remember MLK? Darkness can’t drive darkness away.
But light’ll do it every single time.
So he lived his life in the light. Be brave, be strong, be pure, do right.
Always face your brother eye to eye. So tell me again why Martin had to die. 

There’s not a lot I can say that has not already been said.
The wisdom of the ones who’ve gone away
But heaven help us if we only listen to the dead.  
There’s no point in living life that way.  The living still have something left to say.  
I imagine that’s what John would say.

At the end of our Apprenticeship program in 2019, we had a marathon ceremony to sing the whole book from beginning to end. It was an incredible experience that took 37 hours and many cups...

We recorded it all for the sake of learning the songs and connecting to SOL spirit. The sounds of the forest are singing with us.
