Idea of the action is to record one verse including 16 bars, publish it and then nominate four more artists who have 72 hours to reply. Main goal of Hot16challenge is to activate as many artists as possible and to mobilize firstly hip-hop industry, then hopefully whole music industry to help fight COVID-19 by music. Hot16challenge participants and their fans as well can donate to link or any charity campaign in fight with coronavirus. Six years ago, #hot16challenge went viral as an artist-to-artist movement. 🔹 After the release of the first tome of Dubiquinone, during the spring 2017 on Hadra AlterVision Records, Docteur B.brain and Benzinho - Hadra Altervision / Shanti Planti are finally ready to unveil the second volume. ✌️
🔹 This new project is the fruit of long months of work searching for the 19 gems that make it up. This compilation, raised on the diversity of styles promoted by its creators, aims to explore Dub Music in it's widest sense, from the origins of the Jamaican dub plate to its modern evolution as an urban and industrial sound and reaching out into the psychedelic, organic and instrumental.
🔹 In order to do so, B.Brain and Benzinho have gathered around this collective project more than 20 proud representatives of this wide panel of styles, narrators of a rich and eclectic odyssey. It’s now time for you to take part to it !
