My Demos for Soundiron Instruments

Mercury Micro is a compact starter edition of our acclaimed Mercury Symphonic Boys’ Choir library. This slice of a tradi-tional English boy’s choral ensemble library includes piano and forte versions of thesustaining and staccato articulations of two important vowels: “Ah” and “Oo.” It also includes two sustaining, tempo-sync-able word articulations from Christian liturgy, “Kyrie” and “Eleison.”  

The Mercury Boys’ Choir captures the youth and purity of a full boy’s choral ensemble consisting of 25 singers ages 8 to 13. We  recorded  Mercury  in  the  same  large  hall  that  our  Olympus  Symphonic  Choir,  Apocalypse  Percussion  Ensemble, Montclarion Grand Piano and many other Soundiron libraries were captured. The hall gives it a bright and open sound with just the right touch of transparent natural reverberation.  

Our custom scripted Kontakt user interface gives you flexible control features, like attack, release, transient start offset, dy-namic swelling, stereo panorama, and dynamic layer blending. There’s also an EQ, simulated Vibrato control, and a reverb panel with dozens of life-like spaces and creative FX convolution impulse responses.  

The library comes equipped with 3 standard instrument presets, each focusing on a category of choral articulations. Also included are 17 special FX presets that demonstrate the creative possibilities of this compact yet powerful library. These FX presets are exclusive to Mercury Micro and each offers a unique sonic flavor all its own. Mercury Boys' Choir Micro is made for the free Kontakt Player (5.6.8+) and Komplete Kontrol by Native Instruments.

In the full Mercury Symphonic Boy’s Choir, you’ll also find 2 mixable microphone positions, true legato, more vowels and 42 unique words with both sustaining and staccato varieties. Mercury Micro owners can upgrade to the full Mercury Symphonic Boy’s Choir any time they like, making this a great introduction to the world of Mercury.

Austin, Texas is an odd place. So odd in fact, that “Keep Austin Weird” is virtually the officially recognized slogan of the city itself. The place is packed full of artists and art, musicians and the instruments behind them. In fact, there’s a shop on 6th St, at the heart of downtown Austin, where you can buy a guitar-shaped toilet seat, complete with sunburst finish. Among the strange are many really interesting and creative people, each exploring and giving back in their own way. Sometimes a guy just wants to build a towering castle of steel, plastic, glass and all manner of other glorious scraps that modern progress and consumption has wrought in his own backyard for over 20 years. And sometimes a guy has to fight for the right to keep what he’s built when the powers that be come along and tell him to tear it all down. Mimi Page - Light & Shadow is our brand new ethereal soprano solo vocal library in collaboration with singer/songwriter, film and video game composer Mimi Page Made for the free contact player and is compatible with complete control and S-series keyboards. 

Mimi Page’s otherworldly and atmospheric style fits perfectly with many different genre’s from EDM, Down-Tempo, Cinematic trailer music, film scoring and much more. We’ve taken all of these elements and packaged them into an easy to use and intuitive experience for you to craft atmospheric and celestial soundscapes and solo vocal passages. This library comes with 8 different nki’s to choose from including the standard articulations like Legato with (Ah, Eh Ee and Oo) vowel types. Above the sound shaping controls you have the vowel drop down window. In the legato, sustain and staccato presets, you can select from several common vowel sounds. The content in this library focuses around “Light & Shadow” textures, So with the sustains and staccatos you get different types of vowel types as well as breathes.

Chris Cutting's demo is a dressed mixed using the sounds from Woodentines blended with other libraries.

Woodentines is a nuanced and expressive selection of wooden lamellaphones by master instrument inventor Bart Hopkin. Featuring 3 unique instruments with wildly different shapes and mechanics, the same crisp and yet ponderously watery wooden essence shines warmly through each one. It includes the Bamboo Idiomount, Big Wooden Kalimba and Woodkal, plus a  special bonus instrument called Piezo Tongues.

Kinderklavier is a deep sampled classic toy piano, capturing all of it's heart and distinct character. It has a klonky, reverberant sound, perfect for scoring animation, children's music, and even horror.
