The Moonlight Sonata but the bass is a bar late and the melody is a bar early

Reacting to Miles Davis’ 1972 studio album On The Corner, Brian Eno described the Karlheinz Stockhausen-influenced rhythmic angularity and looseness as “faith music.” He claimed he could “switch between minds,” and go from the opposites of liking it to hearing it is as “just unconnected rubbish.” Writing in 1995, musician and author David Toop asks whether this “extreme perceptual subjectivity” can be explained. He suggests that a listener will accept the disjointed when “falling apart is an existential imperative” but reject it “in times when precision and coordination is valued.”

This track is a reaction to the current uncertainty faced by me – and presumably many fellow musicians – in the face of the Corona virus and its impacts on performing and livelihood. 

The sounds were recorded in single passes with trombone triggering virtual instruments.
