Not sure about you lot but it’s recently felt like things really are on the up! As such, we’re channeling the one thing we’re all still missing through our latest Mustard Mix. The Clubs.

Two Phase U, real name Hernan Gonzalez, is based in Uruguay and has been producing music under a number of alias’s since the late 90’s. 2019 was a great year for Hernan with notable releases on Andrew James Gustav’s Marginal Returns label, as well as EYA, Opia and TC80s Sequalog, whilst heading up his own label @Tiredbeat, which he founded in 2012.

As with every Mustard Mix, we ask the artist to go in any direction they are feeling, and Two Phase U was clearly up for it, delivering a mix fit for any after hours club. 

Hernan has kindly provided us the track list as all the music in the mix is from friends not only from his home town and country In South America, but from around the world.

This one’s got us raring for the weekend and ready to get back partying - hope you guys dig it as much as we do!

MMS #4: Two Phase U and Friends Mix

Homegrown virtuoso Eversines spent some time with us in March for our residency at BIT. Before the club night, however, the DJ/producer paid a visit to the notorious Operator Radio headquarters for our returning radio show. What came out was a muscular, clubby yet subtly crafted mix. One that will be on repeat this summer for sure. Enjoy!

When machines dream of dancing, it probably sounds something like this. For the tenth entry in its catalog, Undergroove enlists Paris-based Local DJ to deliver Hoax Machine EP - a five-track odyssey through low-slung house and twisted electro funk, where the rhythm is always one step ahead of your body. This isn’t a record built on genre; it’s built on feel - heat in the hinges, groove in the circuitry, and tension curled up beneath the bassline like a sleeping animal.

“Electro Police”, the B1,  pulls the reins a little, but not to slow down - to zero in. A syncopated, metallic workout with a bounce that ducks and weaves like it’s evading detection. Think Drexciyan DNA filtered through a house lens. The energy here isn’t obvious - it’s tactical. A tension-builder, a perfect set curve.
