Fireflies is a song I wrote with lyrics by my friend Hanna De Giorgis, who is a gifted writer living in London.  Please visit her site https://www.hannahdegiorgis.com/

Beneath the tepid summer night,  soft footfalls came to tread,
The bursting of the fireflies’,  lights sprinkling overhead.
The people who bore witness,  had nothing like it seen before:
Sparkling spritz a-fizzling out,   some place between the sky and floor.

Chorus:	
		Wishing on a moment, That light too quickly dies
		Why is it so fleeting, This glow of the fireflies.
		
Verse 2

To think such blinking lights,  were but little bugs.
Bearing magic where they went,  and no noise made the fireflies.
But as micro shooting stars,     here they they were sent.

Bridge
One day of mediocrity,  suddenly overturned.
By one numinous moment,  neither sought nor well-deserved.
Of fortuity and lucky enough,  was I to be here-now with these fireflies.
To share where space-time intersects, with those transient insects.

In rolling Tuscan hills that wait, behind an evening never forgot.
Because to over-clipse the fireflies, with their precious light, light that dies
Will nothing, nothing, nothing never, never nooot.

Playing a Godin Summit Convertible  through a Roland GT-100. A Schecter P series bass straight into the input interface. Recorded through an AudioBox 22VSL using Presonus Studio One 4. Drums and synths played on and Impact LX49 using Studio One instruments.
