With a concoction of groovy deep house, ambient techno, and psychedelic downtempo -- what can’t this Italian duo accomplish? Delayed welcomes Orion back with “Samui” - a deep house track set for a sail on their next release on Molly’s Récit de Voyage.
The third track from “Look At Things” EP starts off with the bounciest of basslines, then enters a powerful kick accompanied by a woodwind accompaniment.
Sustained pads continue for the duration of the 5-minute reverie, as elated chords and acid phases take turns passing off throughout the track. The breakdowns enable each of the elements to unwind in a semi-solo; before they fade out in unison as the track tapers off and comes to a halt.
The “Look At Things” EP is set to be released on Récit de Voyage on April 10th, 2020.
