Premiere: Decoder - Iccha [Molecular Recordings]

Things is a Groningen-based DJ with a deep connection to techno. His journey began at 14 when his mother bought him a DJ controller, but it was in 2016, during his first experience at Paradigm, that his love for techno truly took root. Influenced by artists like DVS1, Dax J and Tommy Four Seven. Things brings a unique sound that blends darkness with brief chapters of light, all while using three decks to maintain control over the energy during his sets.

His musical style reflects his fearless approach to track selection, shaped by a multi-genre background. This versatility enables him to create those “magic” moments on the dancefloor, with his deep knowledge of how to read a crowd and deliver the perfect track at the right time.

Some of his career highlights include playing at a sold-out Graanfabriek, a special venue that holds personal significance, and his gig at ATAT in Oost, where he performed on the legendary Funktion One sound system..

Looking ahead, Things is focused on releasing his first EP and hopes to play in Berlin some day. His ultimate dream is to perform at Paradigm, the very event that sparked his passion for techno.

Driven by the philosophy of staying true to himself and not being swayed by trends or social media hype.
