Cape Town-based artist Lukas Urban debuts on City Bowl Wax Network with four textural and exquisitely detailed works that defy categorization. As an exploration of spatial relationships, Maps(Method) blurs the lines between IDM, ambient, broken beat, and dub to create a timeless and dynamic work of art. Against a background of weightlessness, synthetic textures and lush chords are punctuated by organic percussion that transport the listener into living soundscapes. Urban’s careful attention to movement creates an experience that is both minimal, yet dense - a breath of fresh air that forgoes genre purity and arrives at something entirely unique.  @lukasurbanmusic

Toujours dans le but de vous faire découvrir de jeunes DJs et producteurs locaux, les Itinéraires Mixes continuent de nous faire voyager à travers des sets électroniques éclectiques. Pour ce 82ème mix, c'est la DJ et productrice techno parisienne @Benabou qui nous propose un set d'un peu plus d'une heure nous plongeant dans un univers musicale sombre et hypnotique envoûtant.

C'est en parcourant les rayons de vinyles d'Europe que Benabou s'est retrouvée dans l'effervescence de l'univers musical techno. Influencée par des labels renommés comme Token, Polegroup, Eaux, Semantica, Hypnus Records, Northern Electronics et bien d'autres, la productrice parisienne ne cesse d'expérimenter en mêlant ses influences originelles (jazz, soul, musiques psychédéliques) et actuelles nous plongeant dans un univers sombre et hypnotique. Elle a déjà sorti de la musique sur les labels Gynoid Audio, Substantiv, Take Hit et Cosmic Wave. Une sortie sur le label de Zadig arrive très prochainement.

Founder and sole curator of Connection Verified, ADMINISTRATOR, presents: underADMINISTRATION, our first official full-length album and 21st release on the Connection Verified Recordings series. Its penultimate work, underADMINISTRATION contains 11 original tracks representing the digitality of ADMINISTRATOR’s world. The tracks range from blissful electronic explorations, stripped back rhythmic cuts, and straight up bleep funk, to contorted drum tracks, full force club weapons, and oddball synthesised experiments. 

Our premiere for today 'sample.28h-voc' is a melodic techno journey that is driven by hypnotic arpeggio which is pierced through by haunting synth stabs that add drama to the track.

Mister Willis started his love for music enjoying the party culture between Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham and Manchester, being introduced to varied music scenes and cultures which has heavily influenced his style, keeping the dance-floor moving with mainly techno, dub techno and electro. Now living in Berlin, Mister Willis has been frequent at Suicide Club and has a regular slot on HÖR.

"This mix was made with influence from the late 90’s-early 00’s, with a good mix of older records and some new. There are a lot of forgotten gems I dug out. I love Stef Mendesidis sound at the moment with slick rolling kick-drums, so I kinda went with this style throughout."
