Always a fun time linking with the chat crew on Twitch. Started the session off on some deep soul + jazz influenced rollers. Pushed the energy up with some chunky liquid + funk rollers around 45 min in. Second hour went well into angular tech + minimal territory before slipping into some sci-fi liquid towards the end. Some dope new futuristic cuts that I had to play. It was vibes in the chat with some great friends stopping by to check the stream this week.

Liquid Lovers Lounge (EP62|JULY02|2022)

Sometimes I have little time to vet, sort and update playlists with new music I want to play on LLL. But as an obsessive music collector, part of the fun is diving back into the old archive to pull out older tracks or even revisit ones I've avoided playing before for whatever reason. This particular LLL session has a good grip of new stuff in there, but also some gems from a few months to a couple of years ago. All of it got thrown in the blender. Upbeat driving liquid with some darker liquid, into some minimal rollers and some runnin' dubby stuff, deep tech rollers, sc-fi liquid bops, and some uplifting sounding stuff at the end. Still amazed how the character of a track changes shape when framed in a new context... 

Lotsa friends in the chat for this sesh as well as a couple of new folks.  Thank you guys for coming through, it's always a blast to play for you.

Re:Circulation is a new mix series which will feature older tunes that either never made it onto a Body&Soul mix, or classics that did but I want to revisit and revive them by mixing them with different tracks, and also there will be a few new tunes (mostly when none of the tunes in my library will fit!). Circulation was the first Body&Soul mix, so the title seemed fitting lol. I have a good bit of tunes that just didn't fit in (it's the land of misfit tunes!) and kind of got left on the backburner, but they're great tunes, so they aren't "rejects" lol. FYI! Enjoy the mix. What a vibe in the chat this week! S/O to the LLL fam going from strength to strength! Folks fr showing up to hang and have a good time! This week I didn't have a clear map of how things were gonna unfold, but I knew I had some jamming new tracks I had saved to maybe play in hour 2. So I first started on a rolling deep vibe and moved into some soulful, funky liquid. By the time the 2nd hour came around we had some fun chat interaction happening. I raised the temp some with some stomping jump tech rollers to keep the party vibe going and then eased into a more soul tech vibe later into the set. Good times was had by all.
