D:RC came up DJing (mostly drum'nbass) in the mid-90s while attending the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga. As founding member of the local Phungus, Playtheavy and Sleuth Empire crews he found himself at the center of a burgeoning rave scene, collaborating with friends on dance music events in the Athens/Atlanta areas and beyond.

In 2004 he founded Studio:Machina, a graphic design practice geared towards the music industry. Building on his behind the scenes expertise and keen artistic instincts he's become an in-demand contributor on artistic projects in a variety of media. He's toured the US as member of the Smookie Illson bass music trio, serves as creative director for the Chicago-based Illeven:Eleven Recordings label and functions as brand/art director of several nightlife concepts. 

Behind the decks he currently heavily favors the sounds of DNB, but brief forays into breakbeat, house, UK Garage + Bass and dubstep are not uncommon. Get to know.

Jan emerged his burning passion for drumming and pretty much all styles of music in his early childhood.
He got his first electronic Compact Disk at the age of 7, followed by a´s premium Hi-Fi system, discovering his tape and CD deck mixing skills or ripping radio tunes.

After out of body experiences caused by serious asthmatic shocks where he nearly coughed himself to death he developed the ability of lucid dreaming and was able to control his dream states and consciousness.
Like world famous Richard D. James aka Aphex Twin Jan got blessed and inspired by heavenly melodies in those lucid states.

After entering the Berlin club scene at the age of 16 he desired to become a DJ and quickly expanded his social circle with electronic music enthusiasts, organising Techno or Psytrance Raves for a few years.

Working in the most fancy and popular music Hotel in Europe which is located at the Oberbaumbrücke in Berlin Friedrichshain influenced him in many ways and he gained a lot of experiences, musical knowledge and opportunities for his next steps in life.

The fact that clubbing and tourism in the Techno Mekka is slowly but surely recovering since spring 2022 made him realise that it's the perfect moment for him to share his always well maintained music collection with all the  fans of electronic music out there.

Colin Pierce is a 26 yr veteran DJ hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, USA, where he became highly and widely respected for his skills and integrity. 

“A musical journey”
Colin is a lifetime music junky. He is the first human to be born with headphones already on! Seriously though, since 6 years of age he has been actively seeking, collecting, and enjoying, music, and that was in 1983, so you do the math! Colin had 2 bands in high school, and wrote all or much of the music for them. He started mixing records in 1998 shortly after his first rave party, and hasn't stopped, always continuing to refine his formidable technical skills and dynamic range, and always working to pursue improvement. 

Colin is going on a decade clean and sober, as of 2024, and does not play gigs often anymore, focusing on discovering God's purpose. He does it strictly for the love at this point, for the communication, the merging of minds. Having retired mostly from live performances, he is now working on refining the art of mixing, which was the first love: long mixing tracks so that they really dance together and form something new and compelling. Exploring key mixing and perfecting the seamless mix is the new fascination, as well as a rediscovered passion and appreciation for liquid drum and bass.
