What you get here are two stellar interpretations prepared by our two good friends Ewan Rill, and  Hot Hot TuneiK. Each of the remixes takes the beautiful original into a different level, but we guarantee that this package will not disappoint even the most demanding connoisseurs of electronic stuff.

The stars align across the southern hemisphere where NAHS and Ivan Aliaga illuminate with “Astrona”. Argentinean flair radiates through driving rhythms and pounding beat where angular effects contrast with velvety synth lines that juxtapose against dancefloor prowess. A seasoned performer joins the Mango Alley roster with typical flair and craftsmanship. Musical wizardry and hypnotic groove permeate through every pore of Matias Chilano’s musical soul; a seething variety of soundscapes glisten in familiar patterns to create a joyous new mosaic.

Middle Eastern flavours are served up via ARTN’s sonic delicacy. Echoes of “Astrona” ripple in gorgeous timbres as heavy bassline groove jostles for position against recognisable melodic tropes that glide across the stereo spectrum. A powerful cadenced backdrop provides a rock-solid foundation for dancefloor success before Santiago born star makes a bold new statement. Simply City is energised from adopted Montreal home where a growling new bassline marks a new “Astrona” statement. Glorious new melodies cascade in bright patterns that light up skies that have been dark too long. Built upon a common bedrock, fresh sonic threads weave a majestic new tapestry full of dynamic colour.

'Roger Martinez's Higher States concludes a successful year by welcoming Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano to the label for their debut EP. Perhaps best known for his releases on Sudbeat Music and The Soundgarden is Berni Turletti. With the backing of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, the Cordoba resident has been tipped as one of progressive music's future stars. Similarly, Argentinean artist Matias Chilano has spent time on the genre's premiere imprints, most notably Sudbeat Music and Replug Records, while earning praise from Guy J and Patrice Baumel. Having worked together once previously for an EP on Juicebox Music, Berni and Matias now partner up once again for their Higher States debut 'Identity / Sarayu'.

Drawing on a variety of smooth rhythmic concepts the EP begins with 'Identity'. On a backbone of warm, buoyant beats comes mounds of perfectly contoured bass and a lively percussive cadence. Fluid yet electric, an atmospheric glow encases the framework, as timely stabs and effervescent effects unite in a perfect sonic marriage. The narrative shifts as energetic pulses initiate the main break, with buzzing sonics gently rising alongside the main melody, as the beats drop for a spirited finale.

The companion piece 'Sarayu' continues the progressive minded vibes of its predecessor. Vibrant stabs and spacey effects sit atop a full, rolling groove as the journey commences. Wintry overlays elevate mood as the first act evolves, perfectly setting the stage for an elastic-like arp to push momentum into the breakdown. Furthering its emotive appeal, the centrepiece melts down into a striking melody; reflective in nature, the cascading theme provides heartfelt moments, perfectly setting up a gentle crescendo as the groove gallops towards a stirring final movement.

With 'Identity' and 'Sarayu', Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano continue to build on their creative synergy, delivering two creations that will be firmly etched in the hearts of progressive music fans, rounding out a successful year for Roger Martinez's Higher States.'

Manual Music's MNL label has been operating on the forefront of the progressive house scene ever since its inception in 2012. Now it's time to push the boundaries even further with 'Stop The Silence' by Aluria and Aman Anand - the labels' whopping 207th release!

Aluria and Aman Anand bring a proper underground warehouse vibe here. Deep chunky late night grooves, an infectious male vocal in combination with warm melodies make this an essential piece of forward thinking house music. And if you're not a fan of vocals then no problem; a dub mix is included as well.

To complete the single Australian progressive house maestro GMJ joins in on remix duties. It's his second appearance within the Manual Music family after last years immensely successful remix for Golan Zocher's 'Enter' single on Magnitude Recordings. He provides an interpretation that sounds less dark compared to the original, very funky and driving - a classic essential progressive house groover!
