As we hit the years midway point, Deersky’s Soundteller Records presents Volume 15 of their ‘Vibrant Vibeland’ series. Conceptualized in 2014, the various artist collections have become a much anticipated part of the Polish imprint’s release schedule, while also being a favourite amongst progressive music fans looking to discover new talent and the genre’s future stars. Already notching two new editions across 2021, the series now embarks on it’s fifteenth installment with sixteen new tracks that cover all corners of the globe. Although the label has trended towards organic house on many of it’s recent releases, the latest Vibrant Vibeland returns to the label’s roots of progressive house and melodic house and techno. Leo Guerrero - Being Alive [Soundteller Records]

Deersky’s Soundteller Records welcomes Chaum to the label for his debut EP ‘Dyan Moon’. Born in Greece but now based in the UK, Angelos Moutsai aka Chaum has emerged in the world of progressive music since making his debut in 2016. Releases via Beat Boutique, Hoomidaas, One Of A Kind and RYNTH have been vehicles for his unique take on the genre and it’s related derivatives. Now following a contribution to Mango Alley’s ‘Augmented 005’ collection, Chaum makes his Soundteller debut with a three track showcase.

With three originals to choose from it is ‘19.5’ which leads the release off. Smooth and inviting from the outset, it’s submerged groove, jangly motifs and colourful arps act as an intro piece in a way, building anticipation for what’s to come while showcasing Chaum’s explorative production chops. The second selection ‘Ovate’ continues on a similar meditative pulse but takes closer aim at the dance floor. Electric rhythms coupled with a machine gun style groove and firing percussion provide a lively foundation for astral sonics and mind bending effects to work their magic. Void of any overt musical theme, it’s timely transitions and key changing groove provide several dynamic moments along the way, and should work nicely as a midset piece for the more adventurous DJs out there.

The release concludes with the title selection ‘Dyan Moon’ which ventures further into emotive territory. Played out over eight minutes, it’s warm buzzing groove, effervescent percussion and impassioned chord changes work beautifully together. Timely overlays are likely it’s strongest suit however, subtly adding emotional touches and spine-tingling moments as journey evolves, before the main break advances the narrative through tasteful modulation, as the beats drop for a reflective finale. It rounds out a huge Soundteller debut for Chaum, an artist who continues to excite progressive music fans as the year reaches it’s half way mark. Highly recommended.

Chaum - Ovate [Soundteller Records]

Deersky’s Soundteller Records welcomes GEHOR to the label who presents his first ever release. Based in Norway, GEHOR has been perfecting his craft with inspiration from the organic house, progressive and melodic house and techno worlds. A recent DJ set from an outdoor location in Glomma showcased GEHOR’s superb taste and impeccable mixing skills, with a near three hour set comprised of emotional, genre-bending tracks. Now beginning his journey as a producer he steps up to Soundteller for his first ever release entitled ‘Stars’.

Comprised of three tracks, it’s the smooth, melodic sounds of ‘Rigiel’ which lead the EP off. Anchored by a warm, well contoured groove, its musical prowess comes up quickly, with cascading arps, sweeping effects and a glowing backdrop setting the narrative. Clustered electronics and choir-like pads initiate the main break, as tasteful modulation rises towards a classy crescendo and blissful finale.

Leaning a bit more towards organic territory is the second selection ‘Vega’. Exotic drums and haunting overlays begin the journey, as a mountainous bassline drops and fragmented arps begin to work their magic. Adding even greater depth to the track, GEHOR pulls at your heartstrings with a sentimental sounding break, which perfectly sets up a stripped back drop and whimsical sounding conclusion.

Also sitting nicely in the creative space between organic and progressive house is the EP’s closer ‘Polaris’. The tempo drops a touch here as warm beats, perfectly sculpted bass and clattering drums unite for a buoyant rhythmic core. Wispy effects and placid pads provide a colourful canopy of sound, splitting moods between emotive and soulful, before a atmospheric break adds just enough tension to spearhead an arp-led finale. It caps off an inspired collection of music from GEHOR, who makes a major statement with his first ever release. Definitely a name to watch going forward. Highly recommended.

Having released over 200 productions on various labels around the globe, Audiostorm has a 4 track EP for us here at Melodic Beats Recordings.. And boy is it Good….

Defender, being the lead track from the EP, is a percussive driven organically progressive beast of a track.. This needs to be played on a loud system to feel the impact it has..

Fields is also more on the organically progressive style with some driving percussion with rolling bass with a acid loop to die for….

Panorama takes on a more organic sound with that progressive feel, just love it!!!!!

The final track on the ep is Remeber the shine, which is almost a bonus track for those moments a bit of chilled out trip hop/electronica is whats needed. Enjoy the ride…….

Mister Howington, John Hertz - Lost Constellation [Future Avenue]

In this new work, I wanted to develop a part of a track I'm working on called "The Fusion." After finishing the track, I realized I could make another track from the second part to develop it even further, and this is what I achieved. "The Fusion" will be out soon. In "She never sleep," a reference to the moon, it's like a journey through the depths of the night until dawn. I hope you can enjoy this new journey and wake up afterward.
