With the spring season now in motion Soundteller Records presents the latest installment of their ‘Vibrant Vibeland’ series. The Polish imprint has become synonymous for the various artists compilation series. With the first edition released in 2014, it’s been a remarkable seven year run with thirteen volumes over that stretch, making the ever growing series a much anticipated part of the label’s release schedule. Continually searching the globe for the finest in progressive house, the Vibrant Vibeland series has shown how far-reaching our scene really is, giving Soundteller an avenue to showcase new talent and stretch it’s borders to now include melodic house & techno and organic house. With the thirteenth edition of ‘Vibrant Vibeland’ being released in January of this year, the Polish imprint now presents the fourteenth overall and second of 2021. Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint continues a strong start to the year by showcasing the first installment of it’s ‘Re:Imagined’ series. These Various Artists EP showcases will take a look back over the label’s catalog, presenting new interpretations from some of the freshest talent in the underground. In what promises to be a highlight in the Belgian imprints release schedule, the first installment finds Nopi, Hot TuneiK, Retza and Gimerique re-interpreting tracks from Paula OS, Paul Angelo & Don Argento, Paul Deep and Lerr respectively.

Next up and making his Sound Avenue debut is Retza. The Melbourne resident has etched his place in Australia's electronic underground with appearances at the country’s largest events, namely Rainbow Serpent Festival and Let Them Eat Cake. Nearly a decade’s worth of production credits has seen Retza showcase his music on several esteemed imprints, such as All Day I Dream, Balance Music, Kindisch and Magician On Duty. Now making a welcome debut on Sound Avenue, Retza re-imagines Paul Deep’s ‘Shakti’ with resounding success. Aptly titled ‘Primordial Cosmic Energy Mix’, the Aussie artist goes deep and driving for what results in a powerful late-night jam. Glacial lines, ethereal vocal fragments and dubbed out tones unite for a vortex of sound and colour. Acid sprinkles add a nostalgic flair, while a buzzing break should command the full attention of your dance floor.

The latest release on Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint finds the label presenting the third installment of its critically acclaimed ‘Correlation’ series. Conceptualized in 2017 with the intent of showcasing cutting edge electronic music, the inaugural edition featured a unique blend of rising talents along with industry veterans, resulting in a cohesive fusion of artists from across the world. At the time the label’s music policy was undergoing a shift, emerging into borderless realms and showcasing a broader spectrum of electronica. Unveiled two years later, the second installment furthered the label’s borderless vision with ten selections that touched on deeper, more contemporary sounds to laid back techno, all the way through to the label's progressive house roots. Now looking to make the series a biannual event, edition three continues the journey, leaving no stone unturned with a veritable smorgasbord of sound, covering a wide array of sonic space and featuring (in order of appearance) Ercos Blanka, TD, Gavin Rochford, Beije, amháin, Fermata Duomo, Dio S, MATE 0000 and Deepshader. Another unforgettable musical journey from Sound Avenue, one which perhaps foreshadows some future projects to come.

The latest release from Soundteller Records finds Teleport-X returning for his debut EP. July of 2018 marked the Argentine’s debut on the Polish imprint with a contribution to their popular ‘Vibrant Vibeland’ series. It’s been a prolific year for the Buenos Aires resident with standout releases on BC2, Deepwibe Underground, Droid9 Limited and Polyptych. Now following an EP for Droid9’s new Limited division, Teleport-X returns to Soundteller with ‘Sushi in Japan’.

Beginning with the groovy sounds of the title cut you get an immediate sense that Teleport-X has once again crafted some excellent progressive music. Tastefully melodic, it’s mallet-like motifs, organic drums and placid atmospheres converge for a gorgeous first act. Hazy harmonics and charming overlays add depth and emotion as the narrative evolves, before segueing into a dreamy break which carries a lovely sense of space and refinement. A smooth build is then executed through glacial sweeps, perfectly setting up an emotive finale.

Capping off the release and continuing it’s deeper ethos is ‘Kenji Tomoro’. A touch more subversive than it’s predecessor, it relies on tight beats, exotic drums and meandering melodies to carry it’s chunky foundation. Blessed with gorgeous musicality, it’s perhaps a perfect mid-set piece and one with rhythm and flow to spare. It rounds out two beautiful cuts from Teleport-X who makes an impressive return to Soundteller Records. Highly recommended.

Imagine you find a recorded tape. On the label of the cassette you can read the words "Dark Disco Strings". Curious, you put them into the cassette recorder - and listen carefully... The new release on Wizarding Wolf by label owner Juliane Wolf combines disco feeling with the progressive vibes of today. With two great remixes by Weird Sounding Dude and Sean McClellan a variety of sounds is created that will please listeners with different musical preferences. Juliane Wolf's original combines retro drums, tape strings and progressive beats. Several arps and chord progressions add a touch of melancholy. We are happy to have Weird Sounding Dude on board as a remixer for this release. He can look back on great releases on labels like The Soundgarden, Kindisch or Plattenbank. In his remix he adapts some characteristic elements from the original and turns it into a groovy, hypnotizing progressive masterpiece that puts the listener into a trance. Remixer number two is Sean McClellan from North Carolina. He already released music on labels like BC2 Records, Emotional Content Recordings, Pangea Recordings and many others. We are happy to have him on board, too! Sean's remix brings us back to the disco-like vibe of Juliane's original version, as he takes over parts of Linn drums, chord progressions and arp sounds. Get ready for some snare rolls!
