I am proud to present my latest piano album, a musical journey inspired by the theme of 'free spirit.' This album is an honest and open reflection of my inner world, where adventure and freedom come together in an unbound sound.

Each composition is fully improvised, giving the music an authentic and spontaneous energy. From the dreamy tones of “Journey Through the Clouds" to the enchanting melodies of "Elysian Dreams," each track invites you to explore your own imagination and be carried away on a musical adventure.

Immerse yourself in the feeling of freedom of “Free Spirit" and sail with me over the "Uncharted Waters." Feel the freedom in “Winds of Freedom" and let the "Whispers of the Heart" guide you to a place of introspection and serenity.

With "Serenade for the Soul" and "Echoes of Adventure," I hope to inspire you to embrace the beauty of the unknown. "Celestial Wanderlust" evokes a longing for adventure, while "Embrace the Unknown" invites you to explore the boundaries of your own creativity.

Later in the Void… Walter is an astronaut drifting through the absolute.
The void cradles him, soothes him. So vast. So soft. So silent.

A galactic ocean where astral mists swirl, pierced by fragile hues. Shattered pastels. Shy stars, shivering at being seen for the first time. Space watches him as much as he watches it.

And yet… a shiver. A thought cuts through him, burns through him.
A name. A voice. A regret.
He longs to show her this.

Every cosmic reflection, every pulse of light deepens her absence.
She is everywhere, her shape sketched in every drifting cloud yet she is not here.
And that message… that final message…He should have answered.

Later in the Void… is Arper’s most hypnotic work. 
A piece caught between contemplation and longing.

Every note a wave, every sound a tide. We float, we surrender, we sink into this current of sound where regret and beauty blur into a single whisper :

Music you have to experience yourself. Enjoy and listen to the sound of sensitive, cinematic, relaxing and imaginative music. Very suitable for meditation, healing and yoga, but also as a soundtrack for inspiring moving film and theatre productions. Music in a pure linear flow.
 
As a professional producer, sound designer and improviser Marc van Mourik creates music for many different types of music- and film productions. As an improvisation pianist he guides many moving, hilarious and exciting scenes for theater companies in The Netherlands.
 
As a little boy, Marc discovered that the steps of the attic stairs each produced their own tone and that he could play children's songs on it. From then he was always fascinated by the art of free improvisation. First on (church)organ, then the piano, synthesizers, bass guitar, accordeon and various flutes.
 
After graduating as mechanical designer in 1997, Marc studied music production at the Utrecht School Of Arts (HKU) and Sound Education Netherlands (cum laude, 2023). 
 
Over the years, his musical sources of inspiration range from Mike Oldfield, Bach, Keith Jarrett, Stravinski, Max Richter, Vangelis to the pure music of Olafur Arnalds, Hania Rani and Deuter.
 
Nowadays Marc regularly produces and releases new music from his label “Soundtracks To Relax”. Through his conscious connection with the Universe he has access to an infinite music library from which he can always stream new music. He also loves giving personal sound massages and performing concerts. 
 
With his music and together with beautiful co-creators he wants to bring more light, love and togetherness into the world.
When he released his single “Cycle Of The Sun” in 2011, it was the beginning of Marc’s presence on Spotify and other streaming services. His playlist now contains more than 25 singles and albums that have been streamed millions if times worldwide.
