A track inspired by the idea of the feelings of euphoria when discovering the beauty of the underground environment, followed by feelings of oppression, isolation and intimidation.

The Cave

Having heard the hugely talented @Bleeptwig's ambient track 'Unlocked', I was so inspired by the soundscape he created that I reached out to see if he'd be prepared to let me give it a remix.

Yeah, you can't really call it an ambient soundscape anymore... but he approves!

When I feel like I'm lost in crowds,
Pressure builds and my vision clouds.
Noise surrounds, but I hear no sound,
Just my heart - breaking down...

Skies fall slow like lullaby,
Rain keeps time as the days pass by,
Memories drift like smoky air,
I reach for something that isn't there...

I reach for something that isn't there...

But somewhere under this wave of hate,
I light breaks through like a sweet refrain,
The bass line carries me far from here,
To a place where my mind feels clear...

Lost in Crowds

I like creating music in five four time, and this idea seemed to work.

The idea of being trapped in a loop of common time is something I try and get away from every now and then.  

Trapped... In a loop.

People often find themselves trapped in a loop; repeating the same actions, thoughts, and routines day after day without question. This cycle can feel safe, but it quietly stifles change and growth. Breaking the loop doesn’t require a major shift. The loop only stays closed if we never push against its edges, and pushing once might be all it takes to find a new path.

Beats, loops, tracks, tunes, sounds... Music.

I come from a background of classical music (I played the French Horn in different orchestras, and also learnt the piano,) I spent a LOT of time in dark techno clubs growing up and have always loved jazz...  I suppose this all shoves together to make the kind of music I come up with...!
