Techno is a family affair.

Arriving onto the electronic scene with "I Believe", featured on the monumental (10 Records) compilation "Techno 2: The Next Generation" (alongside Carl Craig, Marc Kinchen, and Jay Denham) in 1990, Octave One is the brainchild of the phenomenal native sons of Detroit, MI (USA), the Burden Brothers. The core unit of the band, made up of Lenny and Lawrence Burden (with revolving members of Lynell, Lorne, and Lance Burden), have had the privilege of bringing their high energy live shows to many parts of the world, including Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, UK, and the USA, among many other places.

The brothers have released groundbreaking dance anthems on their own Detroit based record label, 430 West Records. Including DJ Rolando's "Jaguar", Random Noise Generation's "Falling in Dub" (the other Burden brother moniker), Aux 88's "My A.U.X. Mind" (on the 430 West sister label Direct Beat), as well as their own Octave One recordings: "Empower", "Nicolette", 'The X-files", "Meridian", “Love and Hate”, “The Greater Good”, and 'Siege". They have remixed tracks for such artists as Massive Attack, Akabu (Joey Negro), DJ Rolando (Jaguar), Steve Bug, John Thomas, Aril Brikha, Vince Watson, The Trampps, Rhythm is Rhythm, and Inner City.

The desire to push the boundaries of genres and go deeper into music production drove him to create experimental and low BPM deep grooves and dismal sounds with thundering bass lines and relaxing ambient sounds. Soon, he developed his own trademark style, which is clearly identifiable when listening to his tunes. DEF's most recent EP, "Bella," was published by Pablo Bolivar's highly acclaimed Seven Villas Music (Barcelona) label and debuted at number 25 on the Beatport top 100 Deep House rankings.

Def has been making music for over a decade, from performing at events like Namas'cray in Goa alongside artists like ARTBAT and Black Coffee to hosting Goa's highly popular underground after hours at OHM Anjuna in 2020-21. DEF established his style and taste in 2019 by hosting a residency and music programming at Jaipur's most well-known underground and alternative music club, 'Club Colaba.'

Born in Jaipur Pink City, “Monkey Space” a.k.a.Rahul Kayath is acknowledged for his musical talent as well the one who made the djing a gregarious and convivial profession among the youth of the territory and a well known name in showbiz industry. This voyage commenced from 2002 at the tender age of 14 year when he played for the first time. He is someone who never followed the rules but made trends of rules to make people follow them. A person who is completely self made and entirely his own artist who never ever wobbled by trends or fashions. He started with working in a sound system enterprise and reached to a renowned name, its not about statistics and the money, the mesmerizing thing is the honesty he transmitted in his work, despite being outraged by all the associates he kept on moving for his goal, the path was not that easy, he was offended by people, desecrated by fellows. He went through various health issues. Moreover it was all about a dream to outshine from the crowd. It is like oscillation in the blood vessels to reach up to heights though this success was overwhelming yet he chooses to be a down to earth person and not a shallow show-off creature.
Monkey space’s output has remained unique and interesting right from the start of his career back in these 8 years. At the point of time he was experimental yet mature and versatile in the music. At the downside part he faced turbulence's in various forms, he bounced back with force against all though in his own words it was the love and demand by mass for him which set a new path for him. The shining fact is his deep knowledge of music by which he made people gush about Edm music. He set off a revolutionary phase during his work 8 years of work he has remained a highly consistent producer and DJ across almost any strand of electronic music for the last eight years.
Throughout his career, people have gradually begun to come around to his ever-evolving sound despite the fact that typically, he hasn't changed his ideals throughout. A few of the production techniques have changed along the way and the quality has enhanced but it has all been carried out with the same intent. Constantly adapting and evolving, he has never been afraid of experimenting and bounces off ideas as he looks to make music sealed with a stamp entirely of his own.
