Stiff Little Spinners enters its 6th volume with a 5 track package spanning the widest sonic spectrum imaginable. Its tracks, in typical Spinners fashion, range from r&b influenced house grooves to shimmering, broken-beat, new-age garage swing.

Gimmix & Zorro prove their penchant for urban slow jams with a dance floor flavour. Their opener Oveile builds in a slow, sleazy fashion, eventually trading its more unpredictable drum arrangement for a sturdy 4/4 rhythm. The melody surges harmoniously, navigating the walls of its club-ready time signature, a phenomenal introduction to a mind-blowing collection of tracks.

Rampue slows things down on the A2 with Schleiermacherstrasse; a tripped-out, hazy roller with enough chime to hypnotise an entire stadium. This is not to say Volume 6 contains big room tracks, but rather the music’s power commands attention. This is certainly true for Kalipo’s Mäusemarsch, which whirls, in mesmerizing fashion achieving a climax fit for the party at its peak.

Krink’s Close Distance is perhaps the darkest sounding track offered by the Spinners – it seriousness and condensed energy is bound to leave audiences sweating, until its ferocious bassline gives way to soaring synths and jarred drums.

Joney changes the formula altogether – his sophisticated K-Hole Surfers offers a chugging, dubbed out roller which owes as much to techno as it does to dubstep. It is perhaps unsurprising from the track’s title that one feels like they are riding a rather erratic wave, delving in and out of our universe.

Already on their 6th volume, and churning out high-quality, club-ready tracks, this collective is set for big things.

Patrick Topping returns to Hot Creations with his 'Taking Libz EP' and demonstrates why his reputation carries such weight with three special tracks that act as a master-class in how to create music that will consume dance floors.

First up is 'Brayed' which takes the listener on a loopy and enriching journey, whilst 'Howk' is a classic foot-to-the-floor number. Concluding the EP is 'Taking Libz', the title track that sees Topping firmly hold onto his crown with this unstoppable cut.

i-D Magazine described Patrick’s style "that is characterized by punchy, chugging baselines that have become weapons in the sets of many a DJ." Started his career DJing at the club night Motion in Newcastle, he was quickly snapped up by Jamie Jones, for Hot Creations. Releases on the label and a residency at Paradise DC10 in Ibiza soon followed and 2014 saw him release ‘Get Beasty’, ‘Forget’ and ‘Voicemail’ featuring Green Velvet and concluded with a hattrick of awards including winning the DJ Mag Best Newcomer, Track Of The Season and Best Tune awards in their Best of British Awards.

Smoke machine podcast has finally come to a milestone setting 50th release; not only we had to thank all the audiences’ support, and also all the participating artists. Our 50th podcast release is a very formidable mix from natural/electronic.system., this release was planned very long time ago, because we knew their music never disappoint. We had to especially thank the mnml ssgs crew, for their timeless top quality past natural/electronic.system. mixes, and for inviting n.e.s to Tokyo this March, the 7 hour event at Module and the 3 hour event in Dommune became some of the best show this year, which we were part of it, from deep, psychedelic to enchanting melodies blending perfectly together, all so seamlessly and enjoyable no one would want to miss any second of it, and that left us with a unforgettable experience and a high respect to them. We just have to let you have the same wonderful experiences.

In this mix you can hear a large quantity of futuristic sounds which you had never heard from the previous Smoke Machine mix, you will dance to the rhythm, you can close your eyes and imagining that the natural/electronic.system. is coming to our ORGANIK2012 outdoor party. Listen to this mix carefully, its pure beauty will cure your bruises and sooth your pains inside your heart… especially in an outdoor environment. For us the Smoke Machine crew, the 50th podcast is just another beginning, we knew searching for a special mix is not an easy task; thankfully n.e.s has fulfilled our desire this time. Following two tracks on the label compilation “Variables,” Iranian-born, Berlin-raised DJ and producer Nyma returns to Items & Things with Kybernetik, his debut solo release for the label, released here as a digital exclusive. A mainstay on Berlinʼs club scene and perennial figure in the Items & Things camp, Nyma hones his craft with Kybernetik, its slow burning disco groove and relentless funk guaranteed to function as adequately in a warm up set as at peak time; its contagious rhythms as appropriate for that early morning injection of energy or for the creation of that late night disco explosion.
 
Fusing organic instrumentation with machine, the driving rhythms, slap-bass hits, and infectious guitar riffs of the original are drawn out on the EPʼs flip side, with the dub version bringing the bass even further into the forefront of the mix: breathing additional groove into the track whilst nevertheless maintaining the dynamic intensity of the original. 

Remix duties come from label boss Marc Houle, who in true Items & Things fashion strips Nymaʼs original down to its bare bones, sprinkles it with his unique blend of experimental techno, and turns the bass up to eleven. What results is a mix as eerie as it is groove driven: its building lead lines, stuttering 909 hats, and synth eccentricities a flawless expansion on the funk of the original.
