‘Festival (Just Beginning)' kicks things off with an exotic disco edit complete with killer horns, sultry stings and that maraca flavoured feeling tied together with an uplifting vocal hook.

The A2 'Two Man Sound' combines an instantly catchy bass and infectious guitar lick combo with summery Brazilian lyrics and jazzy Rhodes - perfect for the imminent festival circuit.

‘Festival Drums‘ rounds off the e.p. striping back all the melodic elements from the original to offer up a fusion of maracas, cowbells, congas and guiros to unleash a South American styled drum tool perfect to add a little zest to any mix.

It's been a long time between drinks for Oliver Dexx. According to our records, this Slightly Transformed label debut marks the producer's first solo outing in almost 18 months. It's well worth picking up, if only for the down-low, Clavinet-fuelled strut of sweaty, funk-fuelled opener "The Get Down", which is the nearest thing to an instant party-starter we've heard this week. That said, there's plenty more to set the pulse racing elsewhere across the EP, from the pitched-up, soulful disco-house sweetness of "Do For Love", to the tidily beefed-up Brazilian disco-funk re-edit "Copacabana", via the rolling grooves, jazzy guitars and swirling vocal samples of "Do You Believe".

"The seventh (!) volume of high class reworks from rising star Young Pulse is here and it's a banger !. With a mixed bag of jazz-funk, early 80's boogie and high energy disco there is something for everyone here. But we really wanna give the A side track 'Bobo's Reason'(Willie Bobo) an extra mention...proper full on summer jazz-funk with a slight disco edge. Feel good material".

B side features a heavy edit of Beggar&Co - Keep On Running, originally 1:25 long, now turned into a 5mn weapon with new parts, and don't miss the retake on Jo Bisso - Love Somebody, with its endless fat disco groove. Additional productions + masterings by myself, an other great release to play loud !
