Disrupta is a name that’s stormed across the Drum & Bass scene in the past year picking up new fans with each new project and effortlessly sliding into new sub-genres. In 2020 Kieran (Disrupta) released his Deep Thoughts EP on Liquid V, a four track release that saw him explore a deeper, more musical side, in 2021 we now welcome him onto V Recordings for the next step in his journey.

The Changes EP is a four track project that spans across a selection of sub-genres whilst all being glued by the ‘Disrupta’ sound. The title track features Manchester vocalist DRS, a musician who needs little introduction and has worked with artists such as Children Of Zeus, dBridge and Marcus Intalex to name a few. ‘Wireless’ is a track sure to be on rotation when clubs back open, ’Tequila’ with J Select sees him delve even deeper into his tech side, and the project goes in full circle with ’Play It Cool’ falling into the same liquid vein as the title track.

We’re looking forward to seeing where Disrupta goes next as his musical pallet continues to develop, if this EP is anything to go by the experimentation is far from done.

Overview proudly presents Diamonds; a sublime melding of minds that brings together the prodigious talents of Degs, Duskee and Operate, three names that should need no introduction.

Everyone is on their AAA game here too, with Operate cooking up a haunting, lo fi beat for the vocalists to do their thing over. Their thing is in full force here, with Degs and his signature soulful musicality delicately interwoven with Duskee’s self-aware articulate approach, who once again proves why he’s the future poet 2021 really needs. Diamonds is an evocative modern fairytale about growth, loss and ambition that’s simultaneously totally fresh and deeply relatable.

It’s a perfect nexus between the talents of some of the UK’s most original and creative artists and, along with an official video shot on location in Wilshire, is yet another star in the blazing firmament that is Overview Music.
