Back in August I had a pleasure to play at Siemianowickie Centrum Kultury, a beautiful post-industrial museum and cultural centre of the area. Since the event was called "Chill Time" I prepared a nearly 60 minutes mix of chillfull soul, funk and hip-hop beats. Lot of time went into preparation of this mix so I really hope you enjoy it.

We are starting a series of guest mixes spotlighting various artists outside of the Bay Area and kicking it off with a guest mix from Tampa Bay's InterCom (@intercom-dj).

Intercom has pulverized dancefloors from coast to coast with his unique brand of impious vibrations since 1999. Stupefying crowds from Black Rock City to Lakes of Fire, Intercom’s influence on the Burning Man music community has stretched from memorable performances at the Freakeasy and Hookahdome to those at Dewie Decibels and Gon Kirin. In Detroit, Intercom spent years leaving audiences in a pile of their own excrement during monthlies for SanctumFM. Also pairing his caliginous vibe quite appropriately with the devils and ghouls at Theatre Bizarre, where he has performed since prior to the inception of their mainstream epoch. 

Intercom has opened for and supported such belligerence powerhouses as Deekline, Keith Mackenzie, Stanton Warriors, Freq Nasty and Radiohiro.

InterCom RIPEcast Guest Mix

Here a DJ rare mix from the alter ego of Mark Musselman of Momu...DJ Johnny Mac.  He is known to have played out no less than 4 times and not more than 10...we just can't be sure.  This was recorded at an 80's Tennis Party in the Mission District in San Francisco circa 2003 or 2004 is the best guess.  Bobby Brown used to throw these renegade loft parties...enjoy.

About J'amie Ma Vie:
After finding her way to her first underground in 1995, Jamie James quickly realized she was not only a raver but a dancer down to her core. From that point on she has danced her way through life, knowing the dance floor will always be a sacred and therapeutic space to hold her. Feeling extremely grateful to have found the rave scene at such a young age, Jamie decided to help produce parties in Seattle, Honolulu, San Francisco and Austin. In 2007 she joined forces with her beloved Strategik crew, known for their out-of-this world, marathon renegades and signature breaks vibe. True to her heart, Jamie worked hard to keep a variety of other genres flowing throughout many of Strategik's lineups, especially drum & bass. In 2016, twenty years after her first party, Jamie finally decided to jump in and learn to mix. That’s when DJ J’amie Ma Vie was born. Becoming a DJ has been one of the most humbling experiences Jamie has ever had. Experiencing first hand the amount of time, energy, and love that goes into creating a musical journey continues to blow her mind. As a dancer Jamie has always held a deep appreciation for DJs, but taking a chance and learning what it’s like to be on the other side of the decks has expanded her understanding and respect for DJ culture exponentially. While Jamie enjoys playing multiple genres, drum & bass stole her heart in the late 90’s and will always be her favorite to throw down. When she’s not behind the decks you can find Jamie handling operations for festivals and events all over the world, including Envision, Sunset Sound System, LIB, Dirtybird, BoC, Unison & Sanctuary.

"This has been a year of digging in the “Rekordbox” and mixing new hotness with old tunes that no one has heard me play. It kind of turned into a love letter to Quadrat Beat and that’s OK. I did manage to sneak an older remix too, so keep an ear out for the Public Enemy drop. Producer note: the remix not only uses the vocal samples from Bring The Noise, musically it follows the guitar riffs that Anthrax played in the original."
