Bravura are pleased to welcome Ojon 'Jonathan' Kusuma for the label's third release. The versatility showcased on the 'Waves Form' EP perfectly summarises the Indonesian producer's multi-faceted output.

From his retro-futuristic excursions as one half of psychedelic disco duo Space System for Optimo Music, Love International and Pizzico Nobel, to the off-kilter leftfield house deconstructions under Jonathan Kusuma for his own Space.Rec. label, Ojon consistently manages to deliver forward-looking dance music that at times feels as earthy and acoustic as it does electronic.

Opening track 'Blob' sets the tone in classic Kusuma style - clattering percussion and dubby electronics develop around a driving house groove, punctuated by gigantic bursts of analog power. An echoey vocal chop and a discordant Rhodes chord add to the tension, building towards the cowbell-laden finale. Title track 'Waves Form' tells a different story, with layers of lush chords and dusty atmospherics gliding above hypnotic bass sequences and crisp drum programming, as subtle sound design draws us ever deeper into the track's trance-inducing pulse. On 'Re-alignment', Kusuma sets an urgent, bubbling house bass to Kraftwerk-esque synth zaps and drum patterns to create seven minutes of cold, sparse future-funk with an industrial edge.

The package is completed with an expansive deep dancefloor reworking of 'Waves Form' courtesy of newcomers Bedouin Traxx, building upon the original's rich chordscapes with dub techno splashes and marching drum machines.

An excellent EP from 1/2 of Space System - Jonathan Kusuma. Fresh from his incredible release on Kid Who's Bravura imprint, Waves Form EP. 
Nostoi is a heart warming deep house track with warm piano chords and a driving bassline to grip any dancefloor. Intracity takes on a journey through mysterious wonders with a rhythm that's infectious all the way to a driving bassline around 3 minutes in and a drop that will sure to mix nicely any deep / techy jams. 
A stellar EP from a promising producer and an incredible DJ - Jonathan Kusuma.

Jon Kusuma is a newcomer on french boutique label I'm A Cliché. Based in Jakarta, he focuses on developing the Indonesian dance scene by promoting local artists on his own label, Space Records and his online vinyl store, Akamady. Besides being a true talent scout, he is also a great music producer, in solo or with his band Space System. Both influenced by 80's synthetic disco and traditional indonesian music, Kusuma has created a truly distinctive sound, urban and futuristic with a nod to tradition. After releasing records on prestigious labels like Optimo Music, Kusuma presents Gong 3000 on I'm A cliché, one step closer to putting Indonesia on the global dance music map.

The EP "Mirror Test" will be released via Los Angeles label @chitchatrecords and we're proud to premiere the stellar title track that hypnotizes the listener with a jacking rhythm and an irresistible groove.

The club was hot, the people had queued for several hours in line outside. They had paid their money and were entitled to dance with prominent force. It was burning up as the lights began to flash abruptly with a great big banging drum making a roar in the corner of the room. This night meant more to those on the floor than it did to the those upstairs who watched with eager satisfaction. This was all about money to the gangsters which owned the spot, little did they care for music.

Jimpster has unveiled a sprawling remix package of his single "Burning Up" which was released early in the year to critical praise. One of the remixers is man of the moment Bawrut who delights in true style.

Distempel dari nomer 0001 sampai dengan 1000. Mini album ini diproduksi dan diedarkan oleh demajors dalam bentuk cd dengan harga Rp 35.000,-

Rilis mulai hari Senin, 20 Mei 2013.


Produser rekaman adalah Aradea Barandana, David Tarigan, dan White Shoes & The Couples Company. Mini Album ini berisikan 5 lagu yaitu: Jangi Janger, Tjangkurileung, Te O Rendang O, Lembe-Lembe, Tam Tam Buku.
Secara khusus sebagian besar proses perekaman mini album ini dilakukan di studio Lokananta, Solo secara live pada tanggal 25 – 28 Oktober 2012 yang lalu. Ini adalah tribut kami untuk masa kejayaan musik pop Indonesia dan tentunya, Lokananta. Kumpulan rekaman ini ibarat buku jurnal pengalaman kami dalam menghidupi roh era emas musik pop Indonesia. Ada karya legendaris seniman Pasundan Mang Koko Koswara di “Tjangkurileung”, lagu permainan klasik Melayu “Tam Tam Buku” alias “Trang Trang Kolantrang” atau “Chock Chock Kundong”, serenada Amboina legendaris gaya Broery & the Pros di “Lembe Lembe”, serta lagu pop berbahasa Maluku yang dibesut serta dilantunkan oleh sosok yang terlupakan, Max Lesiangi, favorit terbaru kami.

TAM TAM BUKU

Ojon and Aryo found a mutual musical likeness where the two are able to fill in ach other’s gaps perfectly despite their different musical styles. From then on they’ve decided to start a group and on 1 September 2005 saw the birth of Space System.

Combining each and their own musical background—Ojon used to be in a band playing from rock, metal, punk to electronic. While Aryo is a jazz player—the duo built the soundscape of Space System evolving around electronic jazz with heavy emphasis on the use of synths.
