5th December is the death anniversary of the great man of history and the myth of freedom, Nelson Mandela who tried and struggled for liberality and equality all of his life, who suffered of pain and grief, who forgave but never forgot. Before being a man of political morality he was a man of humanity.
There is a beautiful song (“Mandela” song) which was appreciated by foundation of Nelson Mandela when Mandela was alive and he also listened it. It also was broadcasted by South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and so many various countries. This song (“Mandela” song) is the first Persian song for Mandela by International composer and musician Professor Pezhman Mosleh.

According to (1 in music) in UK, “the heartfelt composition is orchestrated in a way and also includes extracts of Mandela’s speech giving the full thing an anthemic strength with a mixture of authentism and emotion.”

Pezhman Mosleh is a composer, singer, poet, professor of cinema philosophy and aesthetic and a scholar in music history who has humanity and philosophical concerns. He is also known as a peaceful composer.
He is a musician who has given speeches in different universities with the topic of “Being I, philosophy and cinema” and “Music, anti-war, a way to conversation” and “Thought in Art”.

Professor Mosleh is a pioneer in Iranian neo romanticism style. And according to SABC News he is inspired by Beethoven and Chopin in composing music. Cinema press journal introduced him as a philosophical artist and Iran Newspaper No.: 5422 on 24th of July 2013 in an article of peaceful melody presented Pezhman Mosleh as a musician who takes steps in the way of struggling with war and violence along with universal musicians.
His solo and orchestral works were performed in various festivals and he was member of jury in many festivals.

His other works has also attracted the different radios and televisions of the world.
We can also mention the other famous works of him, which is called "Limitless" of the album of "Whispers for peace and love". "Limitless" is dedicated to Krzystof Kieslowski and attracted so many attentions from many countries including Poland and the site of Kieslowski Art and Polish music information center in Poland broadcasted it and it is believed that the music of Mosleh is close to Priesner’s.

He was the only Iranian person who was supposed to collaborate with great Greek director Theo Angelopoulos but unfortunately it was cancelled because of Theo Angelopoulos death.

This song began as a bass composition recorded as a stem by Mark. He named it after a hang out spot he and his friends used to go to as teenagers to drink beer and smoke bowls. He shared it with JJ, who turned it over to the Eclectic Collective so that we could have our way with it. However, Mark didn't use a click track to record it, so when he sent it to us, Ken had to come up with a drum beat based on Mark's structure, to which Mark then redid his bass part. That takes a lot of imagination on Ken's part when we do something that way.
    The first one of us to lay down a part for it was Chris, who added some really freaky textural guitar. Ken was next up, completing the rhythm section with his mighty drums. Ken then redid his part to better match the bass, thus completing the rhythm section with his mighty drums. Then, Stephen laid down the gritty, underlying rhythm guitar that runs throughout. Josh was up next, adding his melodic wah guitar to the mix. JJ came along soon after and laid down the magical synth that runs throughout. Last, but not least. Tez dropped the fiery solo towards the end. 
  Once the music was all laid down, we thought it could use some oohs and aahs at the end, so Josh recorded them as a five part harmony. However, choosing to only use the highest thee parts in the song, our expert producer on this one, Tez, decided to make a coda out of all five. So, stick around for a treat at the end!
  This is the third song the Eclectic Collective has done as a collab with Mark F. He's a very talented solo bassist, whose other music worth checking out on his page, as well. We hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Due to life circumstances, I've had to step back from singing, but have decided to pull this song from the vault. 

I've been sitting on this one for more than a year, held back by the usual crippling perfectionism. I've decided life's too short to waste time hiding art, when it might possibly bring joy to someone else, so here it is in its imperfect glory. All vocals sung by myself - but I take no credit for the wonderful writing and arranging - please see credits below:

This is an amazing SATB choral arrangement of "I Love You" by Billie Eilish. Credit is due to both Billie Eilish O'Connell and Finneas O'Connell for the words and music, as well as Julia Dollison and Kerry Marsh for the choral arrangement. I came across it years ago, while working with a (fabulous) high school jazz choir. I fell in love with the crunchy harmonies, but had trouble deciding what colours I wanted for the instrumental part, which is part of the reason why it's sat in the vault for so long. 

In this particular choral arrangement, the instrumentation calls for piano, but here, I split it into a digital electric bass line, and electric piano. I kind of liked the funky, ethereal sound of it, but I wasn't sure if there was something else that might sit better against the SATB vocals. I'm curious, and open to hearing suggestions for other instrumentation options. Folks who know me know that I've got some experience with singing, but I am out of my league when it comes to arranging and recording, so I know there's always room for improvement.  

In this era of auto-tune, I would encourage listeners (and myself!) to embrace the imperfection of real, un-corrected vocals. Art doesn't have to be perfect to have value... right? I hope to convince myself...  🙃
