Sur la route on se lance afin d'invoquer la chance 
J'ai provoqué la mienne après l'adolescence
Et ce fut miraculeux au début mais les cieux
Désirent qu'on se donne à fond pour exaucer nos vœux 
J'ai levé les yeux pensant que tout m'était dû 
Dans la vie mais vois-tu c'est contre-nature 
Que de penser cela car la tâche est ardue 
Pour qui se montre têtu et n'a jamais combattu
Baissant les bras devant la première difficulté 
Alors que seule la vivacité d'esprit peut l'emporter 
Et porter chance à qui ne vit pas sur l'acquis 
Étant donné que l'effort est bien le minimum requis
