Sirena, aka Meighan Visser, grew up in a small town in the province of Alberta, Canada, where she began studying music at the young age of 5 years old. Training in Classical Piano spanned a few years, and led to learning several percussion instruments to feed more of her intellectual vision of a well-rounded skill set. Her first taste of underground music culture came from the raw energy generated by the DIY punk scene in Edmonton, Alberta, where she was first exposed to acts involving analog electronics with live instruments. This initiated her love for hidden venues and discovering unique, evolving sounds. Additional to frequenting these events; listening to college and community radio, and working at a prominent music store at the time, increasingly fed the desire to continue the expansion of her musical horizons.
Relocating to Vancouver, Canada for film, she was introduced by friends to the underground rave scene where she spent many a night (and morning), on the dancefloor. Through these experiences, and putting her energy into working at and promoting more of these events, Sirena was exposed to a wide arena of styles and genres, which grew into a deep passion for becoming a DJ herself. Eventually fulfilling her dreams of becoming a radio show host, she joined Vancouver CO-OP Radio’s program, Terrestrial FM, in 2019; providing a space for other local-based DJs, as well as producers, to showcase their original work and favourite sounds.
Taking the time over several years to hone in on her skills and navigate through different territories, proved to be incredibly worthwhile, as it brought her to finding her truest, most pure expression as an artist. Now diving deep into the world of minimal and microhouse, she has been able to draw upon her strongest influences and incorporate them into each one of her sets. This is truly the beauty of this style of electronic music. To hear Sirena’s mixes is to be lathered with emotion-enticing sounds, inspiring a euphoric auditory experience, irresistible not to move your body to. Her aim is to help others awaken to higher levels of consciousness through her selections and storytelling, providing the resonance and vibrations to open the heart-space within.

The ship smoothly passed through the protective field and docked on the landing pad. The vast complex, surrounded by a wasteland of mangled metal and scorched soil, was guarded by a multitude of faceless soldiers. The angular spires of watchtowers rose ominously and pierced the sky like the sharp teeth of an ancient leviathan. At the top was the command centre filled with rows of flickering monitors full of a staggering amount of data and records. Technicians bustled about to keep all systems and equipment running as normal.

As the cargo airlock opened, the mercenaries began moving crates and containers onto the pallet of a levitating forklift. Using holographic cloaks, the friends easily passed the guards and proceeded deep into the corridors and staircases. Around some corner, the laboratory space opened up in front of them, packed with shiny machinery and mysterious equipment. The sharp odour of ozone and rot permeated the air, and the operating tables were covered with the remains of failed experiments. A new generation prototype of a mutant soldier, a synthesis of mechanical enhancements and biomanipulation capable of conquering and exterminating entire planets, stared lifelessly from the platform in the centre of the room. Tubes and wires looped around its body, plugged into ports and connectors embedded in its flesh.

– Strange things have happened here.
– Definitely, Cat. If they complete this freak and start production, the world as we know it will end.
– We must do something to prevent that!
– Good thinking. Let's blow this damn place up!

A bit of history.
Tomas and Laurynas have been building their path as disk jockeys in Lithuanian scene for quite some time. Influences of particular styles, scene-shaping movements had their bits on their development as personas. Although pure and true strive for an authentic sound was common between both without even knowing. Until one innocent back-to-back session happened.
'Standing together behind the decks just felt right and genuine. We wanted to embrace this feeling but also did not want to rush into things'.
After a year of testing at various events, including few gigs abroad, Muddy Waters has come to daylight. Playing sophisticated, warm yet gloomy energy. Diving within the boundaries of microhouse, rominimal and minimal techno.

The key ethical principles are an individual approach and a careful selection which allows you to get the best possible from the communication with artists.

The concept of releases is dedicated to a fantastic multimedia universe. The space adventures of Spacelunch and Cat unfold in episodes of an interactive musical comic. Each of them has an original script, and they are connected by a consistent storyline.
