J’ai commencé.e à expérimenter la musique en 2020. Je me souviens que j'étais dans une période de passion fulgurante en résidence à la cité internationale des arts, et c'est à ce moment-là que j'ai eu ma première expérience avec des contrôleurs lors d'une soirée after à Aubervilliers.Quelques jours plus tard, j'ai acquis mon premier contrôleur, et c'était parti...J'apprécie l'idée de créer de la musique en explorant des chants inconnus. J'ai débuté en mixant de la techno, du cor et de l'eurodance, faisant danser tout le monde en after. L'aspect "performant" m'intéressait. Il y a également ce rituel interactif consistant à faire bouger les corps des autres en appuyant sur des boutons.Peu à peu, mon intérêt s'est porté sur la boîte à rythme de la machine. Cela a coïncidé avec ma rencontre en 2022 avec les membres de mon groupe "Shakel شكل" lors d'un concert improvisé dans un appartement. J'ai pris le synthé, et nous avons joué pendant 12 heures d'affilée. Depuis, ma manière de jouer a complètement évolué, devenant véritablement performative. Je crée de la musique non pas en tant que musicienx, car je ne le suis pas, mais plutôt en tant qu'interprète, danseuse, performeuse. Je m'immerge dans une transe pour exprimer mes cris profonds, jouant et lisant mes textes pour communiquer avec un monde qui n'existe pas.Aujourd'hui, j'ai décidé de partager cela sur ma page Soundcloud, car je considère que cela fait partie de ma démarche artistique. J'assume enfin ce que je suis...En somme, c'est une autre manière de se sentir vivant.e, ou plutôt de rester vivant.e dans un monde brut. Je me permets d'être parfois brutale, parfois douce dans ce que je propose. Ainsi, prenez ce que vous écoutez comme un testament, non pas simplement comme de la musique à écouter, mais comme un espace à visiter... des ruines à reconstruire.

The label has been founded by David Duriez who is known for making House and proper underground electronic music since the beginning of the 90's - 30 years in the music industry, founder and keeper of the [briquerouge] label, home of the best french electronic renegades since 1999, David Duriez is lurking in the shadow of the french Electronic scene, keeping it real and true. Artist in various styles of music, dj and innovator, he's always in search of new ways to distribute and value Electronic Music and always a step ahead. Definitely not just one for the hype.

Since 1994, David released over a hundred records under his name, tens under various pseudonyms, outputs mainly vinyl on the most renowned labels like 2020Vision, Ovum, Systematic, Pokerflat, F Communication, Mobilee, Under the Counter, Stickman, Classic Music Company, Crosstown Rebels, The End, etc .. (the list is long, see Discogs.com to be convinced) and as many remixes for some of the greatest (think Moby, DJ Hell, Telex, Random Factor, Johnny Fiasco, Paul Johnson, Kenny Hawkes or Mr.C).

Founder of the label Brique Rouge in 1999 and a whole galaxy of other labels, he participated in the creation of internationally recognized labels such as Robsoul, Freak n'Chic or Rz Muzik. David has carved out his own niche with his pigeonhole defying Brique Rouge label, and his helping to redefine the nations underground music. Brique Rouge has released deep house, jacking house, tech-house, acid house, vocal anthems and much more... Definitely a label for open-minded people, not stuck in one genre of House. 

In a time where two thirds of the tracks being released each week are sounding the same, either a click and paste formula track, a midi template used ad nauseum or just a classic being sampled to death, Duriez still think there's hope for House & Techno and focus to keep it true, groovy, creative, with soul.
