Spektre (Drumcode / Respekt), one of Britain's hottest techno duos, attacks the techno World with an unprecedented single! 'Without Warning' is Spektre's case study on today's Techno. Melancholic and dark, but precise and crisp at the same time -a typical Spektre characterstic- 'Without Warning' is composed upon the concept of making a difference. Huge bass pads bring out melodies that move and travel the audience while on the same time spacey strings and groovy drum patterns generate the antithesis that makes the energy circulate in this excellent track's veins. Thomas Schumacher's (Drumcode / Noir) approach is manifested upon pure energy. Advanced engineering and authentic inspiration meet, to create a perfectly blended dark-as-the-gates-of-the-underworld killer groove and fresh rhythmical elements, all mixed along to forge a track destined to stir bedrocks and definitely question their structural rigidity! D-Deck (Alleanza / Phobiq) inserts his life experience in music-making into his remix and totally transforms the track, generating a new existence. This is a 4 AM track, definitely made to move large crowds. Rigorous and stern, yet driving and melodic, it's based on a solid drum pattern that concludes to an epic buildup where all melodic elements join the harmony and add their own perspective to end-up in a huge drop. Skober is up first with his melodic interpretation of &#8216;Acidatlantic&#8217; while Mario Ochoa takes on &#8216;Bitch is Back&#8217; adding a more sinister approach with menacing synths going through the entire track.<br />
Matt Sassari is next offering non less than a stomping and swinged-out bass followed by a hypnotical synth and vocal for &#8216;In The Soup&#8217;, and last but not least, Trunkline closes this grandiose EP in his unique style with his aspect of &#8216;Backdoor&#8217;.</p>

Ramon Tapia drops his first solo outing for Truesoul with the classy ‘Manipulate’.

The recent outstanding form of Ramon Tapia has been too good to ignore for Adam Beyer. In December the Belgian dropped the powerful ‘Hexagon’ as part of the Truesoul V/A EP, and with Beyer’s attention on lock, follows up swiftly with the excellent ‘Manipulate’ EP.

The title track embodies the ethos of Truesoul to a tee; a crisp and groovy work that straddles the divide between house and techno, it’s a late-night burner that shines courtesy of a dark searing electro bassline and pin-sharp drum work that builds up to a deliciously nasty finish. Its accompaniment is ‘Adam and Eve’, a punchy peak-time cut elevated by an energetic vocal, atmospheric pad and energetic melody line that has it begging to be dropped during a euphoric festival moment.

Drumcode signee Marco Faraone dominated the 2017 summer season with "Desert Crash," a infectiously mysterious techno cut that got rinsed on multiple ends of the techno spectrum. Finally, widespread recognition had come to the blossoming talent, who'd been a part of the production-sphere for years beforehand.

His standards in forging heavy-hitters has not diminished, as proved by his new release on Carlo Lio's On Edge Society imprint. Its eponymous A-side "Stage Capture" opens the work up on a thunderous note, assaulting the ears with pounding drums, white noise, and robotic vocal samples that add to the tension. Though a rough ride from start to finish, the piece is well-made and futuristic to its core — perhaps another anthem in the making for Faraone.

After an excellent performance at Drumcode Festival, Tiger Stripes comes strong with his first EP on the label since 2009.

Since 2015 Tiger Stripes has been an invaluable contributor to Drumcode’s ‘little brother’ Truesoul. As recent as March he released ‘Sound of the Bettest’ in collaboration with Riva Starr, their fresh raggainfluenced take on techno entrenched as a 2018 highlight for the label. Drawing from a wide palette of sounds to craft his groovy, personality-laden take on techno, the Swede has produced arguably his finest work yet with the ‘Insanity’ EP. ‘Baby’ is a melting pot of three decades worth of influences, from James Brown, to Northern Soul and indie pop of Ariel Pink.
