J. Young is a Columbus Ohio based artist who has been building his following since early 2015. From humble beginnings, learning how to count bars and write lyrics as early as age 8, he began recording music off of his iPhone while his Mom was at work. By age 16 he had started receiving notoriety for his efforts. Label offers, hundreds upon thousands of streams.. by age 17 he had sold out his first show- performing on the same stage as artists like Young Thug and Logic. From being bullied as a child, growing up in section-8 housing projects, living in a single parent household, and seeing the world for all it's glory and misery so young, one things certain about the 22 year old artist. Nothing stands between him and his aspirations.
