This is part of an album I am writing called "Liminality of Life" where I focus on different transitional spaces and explore them mentally and musically. This piece is more calm and tranquil and represents the transition between consciousness and sleep. 

Comfortable Bed in a Comfortable House

When writing this song, I imagined a protagonist and Death as two separate characters, and the song goes along with a story between them. In the beginning, the protagonist dies and meets Death, who silently takes them through their memories. The song comes from the protagonist's point of view and narrates their reactions to their own memories as well as how much time they have left with them. Towards the end, the protagonist realizes they do not have much time left and wants to spend more time, knowing that they have to move on soon. In the last section, the protagonist does not want to go, but Death drags them into the afterlife anyway as it is its job.  

Death's Waltz of Nostalgia

This is another song in my "Liminality of Life" album, and this one is inspired by space and the transition from low entropy to high entropy in the universe.

Entropy

This is another song I composed for my album "Liminality of Life," and it was inspired by a time in college when I met up with some other freshman and shared a meal with them. None of us knew each other beforehand, but we all decided to have soup together since each of us had something on hand to make some. I had tea bags, someone had a kettle, another person had miso soup, and we all were close enough to where we lived to get bowls and utensils. While eating, we all just shared various experiences of our lives before college. It was a very nostalgic experience, and even though we do not see each other often now, we make sure to say hi when we do.

Soup With Strangers

Yet another song in my album "Liminality of Life." This was inspired by how I felt exploring a city at night. This one was not very active and had few people out, which greatly contrasted the busy daytime energy where everyone is outside. I could hear the sounds of generators humming as well as other electronic equipment much more clearly, providing a constant background to the otherwise silent environment. I tried to capture that feeling with the pedal tones in this piece, and it seems to have worked pretty well.

Hello! I am a composer who loves to explore many musical genres from classical inspired music to more tech based music. Currently, I specialize in writing liminal/minimalistic as well as spooky styles of music, but I am broadening my musical style at University as an undergrad in composition and music technology. My drive is to write music that can provide a space for its listeners to explore new environments, whether they be physical or mental, and inspire them to grow as people. Life can feel like a flux of light and dark times where we must overcome adversity to reach our goals and accomplish them. My composer name is a reminder to focus on how our accomplishments can lead us to our future goals.
