A grinding and relentless kick drum, hi-hat and snare combo that no doubt hypnotizes even the most relenting soul. Those merits alone can command a dance floor but, combined with a single organ line that is equal parts villainous, psychedelic, and beautiful while being perfectly constructed with a masters knowledge in the art of tension and suspense, they have conceived a magnum opus of grand proportions.
An aural field fusing the finest elements of both heaven and hell.

We are happy to welcome Maceo Plex to Drumcode with the fourth instalment of his Conjure series, ‘Conjure Infinity’. Featuring two tracks ‘Conjure Dreams’ and ‘Conjure Floyd’, both are peak time monsters that introduce two very different elements. ‘Conjure Dreams’ utilises a groovy, melodic bass that is reinforced using tight thumping drums to shatter any dance floor into the universe. ‘Conjure Floyd’ builds into a more ‘heads down’ techno vibe with a very interesting breakdown. Two sure fire tracks to ignite the floor.

Every now and then, dreams  come true and time has come for our special dream project to come alive. Diez Mil Records’s launch is marked by one of the most accomplished, respected and sophisticated artists of the last 20 years, that is no other than Robert Babicz. Robert is a unique music producer, a true craftsman and mastermind when it comes to music design, always fitting tons of emotions and feelings in his productions, scaling from music soundscaping to massive dance floor anthems. With his “Sea Of  Colors EP” Robert makes non the less another track for the future generations, as to what emotional music stands for. Luscious groove with the signature analogue baseline that Robert is known for, along with dreamy layers of pads and harmonious synths make up the scenery of almost 9 minutes of pure music excellence. The tripping vocals spotted are from fellow Benjamin James which makes another collaboration with Robert, creating a real masterpiece.

  The first remix comes from one of the best producers out there and for sure one of the most in demand. Jamie Stevens, former member of the awarded Infusion electronic band, takes the original on another level with his tech style, creating a powerful piece of music. An intro that is building up elements for the most part of it, taking the original ideas of Robert Babicz to a deep tribal-ish state with a massive groovy baseline and percussion. 

Second remix of the EP comes from newcomer and one to watch out for, The Other Me. As a label we show support wherever talent exists. And The Other Me has lots of it, proving it for 12 continuous minutes creating a mellow, smooth and deep track. Starting with a haunting theme with a mix of vocals and synths,it climaxes with the most unexpected way making the break a battlefield of analogue Moog madness and twisted sounds resembling the mighty theremin. The tracks drives back from the break with an ending structured with the vocals of the original.

The whole EP is full of talent and the warm analogue feeling we all seek for innovative and creative sound design and it is quite possibly the best way to start Diez Mil Records.

It was in 2014 when a mutual friend introduced me to Victor Ruiz while he was staying here in Berlin. I invited Victor to my studio where we had a fantastic session, playing our music to each other, listening to stuff we like and simply talkin and connecting. Since then, we became close friends as well as starting to work together. Victor has released two outstanding EPs on Electric Ballroom by now. This summer we met again and recorded three tracks. Press Info: With his new artist album “Quiet Distortion” ready for release this summer, Gregor Tresher once again sets sail to break new soil, proving why he is considered to be one of the most consistent artists in the universe of Techno music. “About A Good Place”, “Neon”, “A Thousand Nights”, “Full Range Madness” or his recent “Goliath” amongst many others - the list of Tresher's tracks that have turned into modern classics is more than impressive.

Now, with this new installment of 12 tracks and once again accompanied by forward-thinking artwork by long-time collaborating 3D-artist Dennis Richter, it seems that Gregor managed to bridge the gap to his early releases by transforming their original, uncompromising sound into the here and now. Gregor puts it this way: “I am aiming to find the right balance in-between the vibe of some of my early music and the kind of modern Techno I like to play as a DJ, but at the same time I do not want to stand still but evolve as a musician. The goal I try to reach is to create something that will hopefully stand the test of time.“ 

After the haunting opening piece “Numb”, it´s “Surrender” and “Tyrant” that instantly set the tone for what we consider to be Tresher´s most complete piece of work to date. And when the title track “Quiet Distortion” kicks off, people will instantly recognize that Midas-touch that made Gregor´s sound a quality trademark in the world of electronic music.

There are of course tracks that will find their place in playlists by Gregor´s DJ-colleagues: The rumbling “Depend“ that´s also been a staple in Gregor´s own sets over the past months, “Consistency“, which finds its niche in-between the melodic openers and a more tough Dancefloor-approach or the menacing “The Kraken“, that reminds of Tresher´s work on Adam Beyer´s seminal Drumcode label. With “Decades”, we get a glimpse of Gregor´s Sniper Mode project, which he buried at a time when real Electro lost its name to a different genre of music. And then of course there´s the mighty “Goliath“ - the only previously released track on the album: Pretty much everyone who has spent a night on a dance floor of a Techno club in the past year will recognize it, as it has been championed by so many.

Accompanying the release, Gregor embarks on another extensive album tour spanning over six months. It will include a mixture of exclusive live performances as well as DJ-gigs kicking off at the end of May and touching down on some of the most prolific music festivals and clubs around the world.

After nearly a year since their sophomore album 'The Other', Pan-Pot return home to Second State with a stunning EP showcasing the duos proficiency for composing dynamic, cutting-edge Techno.
Over the span of three tracks, 'Solace' EP navigates through a trifecta of distinct styles that unquestionably bear the mark of Pan-Pot's masterstroke. Kicking it off at a breakneck pace is the title track 'Solace' with rapid fire low end and intense tones laying the bedrock for a wildly uplifting presentation of keys creating the ideal balance between opposing forces.
Up next is 'Consequence' which see the duo team up with Martin Eyerer for a newly styled trip down memory lane. By pairing key elements of the sounds of early Pan-Pot and contemporary production, the trio have succeeded in conceiving a fever inducing, big room hit.
Rounding out the EP is 'Lose Yourself' and it is by far the most grandiose of the trilogy. Lush pads and soaring sonic stairs build toward a zenith as the ceaseless chant of "lose yourself" escorts the traveller through an elated dream.
To top it all off, Pan-Pot personally enlisted the expertise of IMF's label boss, the mighty Marcel Fengler. With an astute awareness, Fengler weaves the original artifacts of ‘Lose Yourself' into a truly unique orchestration of rugged percussion and euphoric abstraction.
Although it's been a year since we last saw Pan-Pot on Second State, once you experience 'Solace', we think you'll agree, it's good to have the bosses back home.

While Gregor Tresher's original album ”Quiet Distortion“ still resonates on dance floors around the world, we are more than happy to present to you a wonderful and versatile remix package of select album tracks. We believe the lineup of remixers really speaks for itself:
First up we have Nicole Moudaber, who has established a notable presence amongst the techno elite. Nicole transforms the title track of the album to an epic 10 minute journey that - dropped at the right moment of the night – will definitely let the magic happen.
Next up we have Wigbert, hailing from Offenbach in Germany and releasing on Dubfire´s Sci+Tec and Carlo Lio´s Rawthentic, who also reworked the title track. Wigbert builds his version around the original strings to create a dense remix that explodes in a monstrous breakdown!
Third on the lineup we have Jewel Kid from Malta, who just recently released a stunning EP on our little label and who delivers the bigroom mix on this package, twisting the original melodies to an apocalyptic dance floor destroyer.
Soma artists Gemini Voice Archive have been a mainstay in Gregor´s DJ-sets for the past year with their distinctive and unique hypnotic sound - another perfect match for this remix package - they picked ”Safehouse“ and boy, did they deliver!
Last but not least is Jonas Thor Gudmundsson aka Ruxpin from Iceland - Gregor has been a fan of his music for the past 15 years and we´re very happy to have him close the EP with his stunning vocal rework of the album´s final track ”Give It All Away“.
